Performing for The Velvet Burlesque is one of those dream gigs that all performers wish would come along much more frequently.
Lara Gothique has created a highly professional & tightly run ship of professional stage technicians and stagehands to create an easy, fun backstage experience. As soon as I parked my car, my many stage props were whisked away to be found in my dressing room when i returned. The sound technician went above and beyond to sort out some microphone issues, the stage lighting was beautiful as you can see by any photos.
And now we come to the audience. Lara has attracted the most enthusiastic and well trained audience who obviously return each show and roar their approval. We had to turn down the dressing room monitor, the applause, whoops and cheers were so loud!
So yes, I loved performing for The Velvet Burlesque and I will return in a heartbeat.
Go see the show, be part of that fun and enthusiastic audience, the acts are top-notch, it's a fabulous night out!

I worked with Lara on her last show 3/4th May and I had an absolute blast.

On the Friday I was ill, but I turned up determined to work and the VB team were incredible. They helped me through tech, brought me endless bottles of water and regularly checked in on me. I have never been so well looked after before.

VB was very high on my bucket list of shows and now I know why so many performers encouraged me to send my details. The show is slick from front to back, beginning to end. A lesson in the art of producing.

I'm very grateful for the opportunity last weekend and can't wait to return soon!

I hired The Velvet Burlesque to provide entertainment at my wedding on the 30th September 2023. They were all AMAZING!!! Every single guest enjoyed it and said that it was one of the best weddings that they'd ever been to!
Lara is a dream to work with. She's very friendly and approachable and will tailor the performance based on what you like/don't like. If you are looking for entertainment to give the wow factor, or just appreciate burlesque in general, then give this company a shout. You won't be disappointed!
