I completed my VHF training course today with Tim at West Solent Sea School. Fantastically well run course and delivered brilliantly. Tim was engaged, professional and has a great teaching style.

I’m now looking to do my Powerboat level 2 course with WSSS as it’s a great way to brush up on your motorboat handling and safety skills.

I had a brilliant couple of days completing my Power Boat Level 2 training with West Solent Sea School.

Tim is a fantastic teacher, calm supportive and so very knowledgable.

I really enjoyed the Solent despite the terrible weather we endured. Great to go over to the Isle of Wight and into Lymington. Tim is a genuinely nice person who listens to his students and delivers his course with lots of encouragement, guidance and care.

I learnt so very much and now feel so much more confident.

Do book with West Solent Sea School, you will not regret it.

A very professionally run and structured course ,covering a wide variety of skills on the sea; Our RYA instructor Tim made it fun with emphasis on safety ,clear instruction and an awesome 2 days personally tailored to each of us.

I found this well - structured course a very valuable experience. Despite some challenging weather conditions, Tim’s expertise, demonstrations and clear instructions helped me build confidence quickly (particularly as I was a complete beginner). The training was rigorous and we had plenty of time on the water, allowing us to practice different manoeuvres. Tim provided constructive feedback, helping us to refine our techniques.

I would definitely recommend for anyone interested in a power boating qualification. The setting is fantastic and it was great to be doing the course on the Keyhaven river with lovely views and lots of wildlife.

I had a great time on the Powerboat Level 2 course with West Solent Sea School. As a complete novice going into it, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but I certainly didn't need to worry. Tim was the perfect teacher - he has a calm and encouraging approach and is clearly very knowledgeable.
The vast majority of the time was spent on the water with trips to Yarmouth and Lymington as well as endless opportunities to learn something new. We were even extremely lucky with the October weather!
I would not hesitate to recommend West Solent Sea School to anyone looking to book on the same course.

Recently took the Level 2 Powerboat course - which was brilliant! What a fun and enlightening weekend! Tim was everything you could want from an instructor - a fantastic teacher, total professional, personable and encouraging all in equal measure. We spent most of the time out on the water, learning and practicing new skills (Tim is incredibly patient!), and the classroom aspects were delivered in an interesting and informative way. Tim was able to impart so much knowledge, so effectively across the two days on the water, and he has given me the confidence to take the boat out more often. I could not recommend him and West Solent Sea School more highly.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Power Boat 2 Course run by Tim. Tim was an exceptional teacher; I found him to be very professional, calm, knowledgeable, motivating and encouraging. Tim gave me faith in myself to have more confidence which was so appreciated! I am so grateful to Tim for his patience and perseverance with me. The course itself was a perfect mix of theoretical and practical elements which made for a really well organised and fun weekend of learning! I was really impressed with the learning materials and the wet weather clothing provided to us. I really cannot rate Tim highly enough and I am keen to book onto further courses with him. Tim - thank you for being an incredible teacher! I am very grateful to you for all of your efforts!
