My Fantastic Experience at the Whitby Fishing School
Paul Braithwaite:Â I would just like to say a huge thank you again for your patience and support on helping me to organise my trip to the Whitby Fishing School. I did manage (as you predicted) to achieve all my SeaFish certificates, which were so important to me for my job on a large pelagic fishing trawler.
Anne Hornigold: I would also like to say a huge thank you to you and all the staff for making me and everybody else, feel very welcome and at home. I found all your collegues so friendly and helpful.
Steven Travis: Could I ask you to please pass on my kind regards and a sincere thank you to Stevie Travis our instructor for the week. He gave me so much support and boosted my confidence. Stevie is a very knowledgeable and supportive instructor and a really nice guy.
Captain Peter: I would love to come back sometime in the future with my family and do the 5 day Bridge Watch Keeping course with Peter .. he also seems to be a really nice and supportive person with so, so much knowledge and experience. He came and shook everbodys hand when we arrived to make us all feel very welcome which was very nice of him...as he wasn't actually teaching our group.
Whitby Fishing School: You really do have a terific and very well run school and training facility in Whitby for the benefit of the whole fishing community and beyond..(even as far as Shetland ha ha). That comes from someone who also worked as a lecturer in Shetland College for 20 years as part of my very varied career..!! It's housed in such a very nice, quaint and very functional old building with lots of character situated in a beautiful coastal town.
All in all... I really, really enjoyed my whole experience at Whitby Fishing School and whole town of Whitby...beautiful place.
