I would like to leave positive feedback about an employee of the Bishops Stortford branch. A young lad called Connor who went above and beyond his role. He helped me efficiently, got me a trolley and went to get my rock salt and brought back to the till for me. I think he was warehouse staff. All done with a smile on his face.

Had a kitchen fitted 9 and half years ago. It was a mess from the start, cupboards not measured to fit the length of the previous kitchen, so I had a large panel of raw plaster left, a worktop was chipped , dented hob, wrong taps , under the plinth where lights had been fitted raw wires were left for us to sort out.The “bespoke” fitter wasn’t interest in fixing anything or helping and the supervisor I kept calling at Wickes would never return my calls. I’m writing this now as today all these years later a plumber fitting a new boiler has just told me when they fitted the kitchen the outdoor gas pipe that runs all the way along the house which would of been removed for the new gas cooker is virtually just hanging away from the wall and been bodged when it was put on not clipped close to the brick wall as it should be, also a isolation point should of been installed with the new cooker, the plumber just asked where it was and I had to tell him nothing had been installed at the time, he said he couldn’t believe it was not fitted. Marvellous, more money now being spent to have those two expensive jobs fitted. Do not purchase their kitchens unless you still want to be finding issues ten years later!

Very good shop and helpful staff. Only problem is the parking. I visited on a Saturday during late morning. There were a handful of spaces remaining however there just isn't enough room to manoeuvre in and out of spaces with narrow routes between the bays coupled with a busy junction. Close to gridlock. My advice would be to go early or late if it's a weekend.

Wanted 10 grow bags ,loaded 1 in a trolley for check out stated required 10. Paid for these and a nice staff member collected the rest and took them to my car.

Barely had a paint selection. There’s a machine to mix your own paint which I thought was for customer use and I guess it wasn’t. Pressed the wrong button and got paint all over me.
