I began my BSL Level 6 course and was making solid progress until my teacher unexpectedly left. I felt anxious about continuing, but Terry S stepped in to help. His expertise and support were exactly what I needed to regain my confidence and tackle the course's challenges. With Terry's guidance, I stayed focused and motivated while preparing for my final exam. However, I faced stress when I couldn't upload my exam videos. Fortunately, Shelly provided excellent alternatives that eased my worries. She was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable about the technology, guiding me through each step. I am truly grateful for her invaluable support during this tough time.

I have completed my level 1 and level 2 BSL at Positive Signs and I am currently completing my level 3. Jason has been my teacher in both level 2 and 3 and he is an amazing teacher. In each lesson we have a combination of group activities, partner work and watching Jason as he teaches us. There has not been a single lesson that I haven’t enjoyed; Jason makes us laugh every lesson without fail! The programme has been well designed so we learn various skills like receptive, presentation and conversational skills. On their app we get the presentations and homework the next day, meaning we can refer back to what we learnt at any time. There is also forums on there so it’s very helpful for group communication. The facility in Upminster is very lovely to learn in, it’s modern and has a lovely learning room. Shelly responds to any email and phone calls super quickly meaning any help or queries I have are answered usually within an hour! I recommend Positive Signs to anyone who is wanting to learn BSL or complete some deaf awareness training!

I would strongly recommend Positive Signs BSL courses. I am at present doing level1 with the excellent teacher Deborah. Although I have only completed 4 sessions so far, I have learnt so much!

A1 support and gifted gurus make this the only BSL course that you should do. Fingerspelling practice and mini video assignments are essential to progress.
