I can’t thank Steve enough for the incredible transformation he’s helped bring out in my dog, Dom. Dom is a lurcher who came from a neglected home and was extremely reactive. He was incredibly strong, making walks a real challenge, especially with constant pulling and the fear of encountering other dogs. It was exhausting and stressful, and I could never let him off lead because his recall was nonexistent.

From the start, Steve at Lancashire Dog Training truly understood both me and Dom, taking the time to learn what we needed and how best to approach our challenges. Steve is an excellent teacher—informative, patient, and full of practical advice. His methods were effective but also enjoyable, and we always had a laugh during our sessions, which made the experience fun rather than overwhelming.

Thanks to Steve’s guidance, Dom is hardly ever reactive now. It’s a transformation I never thought possible. Amazingly, Dom can even go off lead! We’re still building up his recall around other dogs, but I feel so much more confident and in control. Walks are no longer stressful; Dom rarely pulls and is now a pleasure to walk, with the lead almost always slack. It’s a complete change, and I can’t believe how well-behaved he’s become.

Steve has truly changed our lives. I couldn’t be more grateful, and I’d 100% recommend Lancashire Dog Training to anyone who needs help with their dog. The experience was not just effective but genuinely enjoyable, and I’m so happy with the results. Thank you, Steve!

We cannot recommend Steve at Lancashire Dog Training highly enough! Over the last few years, he has been an incredible help, not only in training our dogs but also in teaching us as owners. His vast knowledge and experience in his field are evident in every session.

Steve has been amazing in helping us with complex and advanced training for our Belgian Malinois, Caesar. From honing obedience to mastering advanced skills, his guidance has been invaluable. He also worked wonders in sorting out behavior issues with our Malinois x Shepherd, Loki, addressing challenges we thought would be impossible to resolve.

What sets Steve apart is his patience and clear passion for what he does. His tailored, professional approach has built confidence in both our dogs and us, making the training process enjoyable and highly effective.

If you’re looking for a professional, dedicated, and knowledgeable dog trainer, we wholeheartedly recommend Steve at Lancashire Dog Training. Whether you need help with basic obedience, advanced training, or behavioral challenges, Steve is the person to go to. You won’t be disappointed!

Levi my husky x Malinois can run freely off leash with good recall in just under 4 sessions.
His aggressive behaviour has also been improved. I had doubts in a lot of trainers before, but Steve proved himself to be a capable one. Bonus: The Fee is Reasonable as well. Of great value.

In December 2022, I was facing a serious challenge with my German Shepherd's behavior. He wasn't recalling, chasing after runners, and jumping up on people, making it impossible to let him off the lead. Feeling overwhelmed, I called Steve (in tears) , hoping for a solution.

From our very first session, Steve's patience and expertise were evident. He took the time to understand my dog's unique needs and developed a tailored training plan just for him. We began attending Steve's sessions twice a month, and the results were nothing short of incredible.

Today, my German Shepherd is a well-behaved dream dog! He walks beside me, heels perfectly, and his recall is flawless, even when other dogs are playing nearby. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

There simply aren't enough words to describe how much Steve has helped us. Thanks to his guidance and support, I now have a dog who wears an e-collar and can go hiking off-lead, even around sheep, with complete control. It's been a life-changing transformation.

Steve's training has truly made all the difference. I no longer feel pulled and dragged around during walks; instead, I walk side by side with my obedient and happy dog. I owe it all to Steve's dedication and expertise.

I highly recommend Steve to anyone seeking help with their dog. He's a true professional and has turned my German Shepherd into the best companion I could ever ask for.

We went to Steve with our Old English Bulldog, Dougie. We re-homed him when he was 6 months old and since then we had always really struggled with training his recall, especially with his behaviour around other dogs where he'd be overexcitable and try to be dominant. It had got so bad that we weren't able to let him off his lead anymore as we just weren't confident he'd come back to us. It was stressful for us as we didn't feel we were able to fulfil his needs, both in exercise and stimulation which had led to other behavioural issues.

We had tried other trainers before but had little success with their techniques. Steve's sessions were focused on training us (as well as the dog) and giving us the know-how to enable us to work on things ourselves at home, rather than just at the training sessions when he was in attendance.
Dougie is a very stubborn dog (and not the most intelligent) and so it took time and a lot of patience, but Steve was always reassuring, accommodating and helpful whenever we had questions.

Not only do we now have a very happy and fulfilled dog that can be off the lead on walks with perfect recall, but Steve's techniques have allowed us to create a stronger bond with Dougie, to the point where he's noticeably more obedient and receptive to us in other circumstances. It's literally been a game-changer for us and I'd 100% recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dog.

LIFE CHANGING!
100% recommend!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My rescue GSP Mabel had zero recall, and after 4 years of her living life on the lead and making no improvements on her recall, we made the decision to try the ecollar.

Steve was absolutely fantastic, really knowledgeable, honest and helped me to overcome all the concerns I had. We only needed a few sessions for the ecollar, but I would go back to Steve for any training needs in the future! 👌🏻

Thank you Steve from Mabel & I! she's is so happy living life offlead, running round with her bestie!

Steve has been brilliant in training my cocker spaniel puppy, Bertie soaked up all Steve taught him and as a result is a great well behaved companion - I also learnt so much! Steve gave me the confidence I initially lacked with my precious new puppy.
I could and do easily recommend him to others.

Steve has been a great trainer and would always recommend him whatever dog you have. arlo is springer spaniel 2 years old. We have had a few trainers with different techniques which did not work for arlo. We were fed up and frustrated, i had never had a dog and so life with a dog was not what i thought it would be and contemplating giving him up. Steve's techniques worked straight away, starting with rebuilding our relationship through play. Then we tried the prong collar for walking and pulling (we had tried every other type of harness on the market and arlo hated them all) and it worked, he even sits and lets you put it on, other harnesses he would run off as he didnt want them on. I no longer was I tears everytime I went for walk. We have worked on recall, I never thought I'd be able to trust arlo off lead, as we'd had past experiences where he ran off and didn't come back even with balls. We got him obsessed with a ball and with Steve's professional training and knowledge we used the ecollar. We had reservations as it's a technique far away from what we previously had done, but we would now recommend it as long as you have training. So we can now play ball and walk safely around our local park and walk off leash alot of the time, coming back when we ask him too. Arlo is now a happy and setteled dog and we are forever grateful to Steve for helping us. We have only needed about 6 sessions as the techniques worked and not a hot dog/ cheese in sight! Thanks Steve
