This College is excellent - I recently completed a Level 3 Award in Education & Training here and it was an excellent experience. I was very nervous after 20 years away from studying formally, but was made to feel completely at home.
The tutor was brilliant and went well out of her way to make us all feel included and the course itself was challenging but fun and is already proving very useful for me.
The College became my Monday evening "happy place"!

It was decent until one of the teachers started to fail me on my assignments without a reason to and when I had not done enough for a criteria he would tell me to read the feedback when he had not given any feedback. Overall this completely ruined my view on the college it looked good to go to but now I've experienced the types of teachers they have I would never recommend this college to anyone.

Have a bigger opinion of their teaching standards than is actually reality. If you are a wheelchair user or have educational needs, forget it - they don't have a clue. Allows students to directly discriminate on the grounds of disability and facilitate that behaviour by failing to challenge it.

Applied for a course thats supposed to start in January. Called them up straight away after I made the application as I didn’t get any confirmation. I was informed that they had my application and the collage would contact me later on. Waited about 2months, no words. I must have called about 5 times between December and January to see where they are up to, I was informed every time that they are just in the process of sorting it out. Then I got a phone call for an assessment which I took a days off work and attended. Again I was told the collage would be in touch and again no words. Called again and was informed the enrolment is done on phone and someone would be in contact. Called today to be informed that the classes are full and now I have to wait until September!

This college is organised, although I wouldn't say its a joke like other people (but I respect their opinions). They're always going back on promises they have made, they say things like "we didn't have the money" which I would agree with but sometimes it feels like it's an excuse to get out of doing it. this was for tools and apparatuses in level 1 and 2, we finally got them in level 3. Upon completing level 2 and receiving my certificate, I started my level 3 to find out I hadn't even finished level 2! So I had to use my first week finishing that off. The tutors on the other hand, throughout my time at college, are on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, they are some of the best lecturers I've been taught by. They're always offering help whenever needed during or after classes. But put it this way, I wasn't willing to travel to other colleges further away, so it was the best college in my area. They helped me pass my courses with the complete knowledge in that subject/level which is more than you could say about other colleges. Edit 02/02/15, the college told me to add a few dates to this review.
