What a brilliant place to have joined. I just moved countries didn't know anyone so decided to give it ago. That was 2 and a half years ago and I love it. It was the best decision I made. The dedication from all the instructors are outstanding. It's one massive family all in one from ninjas to kids to adults. Everyone is so supportive and the friends that I have made is just amazing. I would fully recommend anyone joining the combat establishment you will never be disappointed. Come on and try it . OSU

Was I scared and nervous - hell yeah! But I did it! And I loved it. Met some new ladies, belly laughed, and kicked some pads. What's not to love? I might have found that new hobby I was looking for - highly recommend 🙌💕✌️

The Combat Academy is simply world class. I have been coming to the gym for about 7 years now and I have never regretted taking that first step onto the mats.
The coaching team are incredible- knowledgeable, committed, enthusiastic, energetic, talented, patient and all round awesome individuals!
The gym atmosphere is very welcoming, no matter your level- absolute beginners to seasoned pros are all made to feel extremely welcome! Whether you are looking to improve fitness, get your first belt or fight in the ring- there is something for everyone.

I joined The Combat Academy last year, just after giving birth to my son. I was looking for a way to get back into fitness as I have struggled with motivation for a while. However, after signing up to the Ladies Kickboxing Course, I realised this would be a great way to develop myself both physically and mentally. The instructors and everyone attending the classes are lovely. They have made me feel so welcome. I was very nervous on my first day but I am so glad I joined. The instructors really push you to meet your full potential, which is amazing. I can't wait to continue my journey at the academy. I would one hundred percent recommend The Combat Academy Barnsley. I love seeing the children attending too. They really do ooze with confidence.

I joined the combat academy in November 23 and it's the best decision I ever made. I initially joined as a way to kickstart myself back into a more consistent exercise regime and now I absolutely love it. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive and really push you to do your best. The atmosphere every week is insane.

The Combat Academy has done our little boy the world of good in growing his confidence, the coaches are always welcoming and friendly from the very first session, you are always met with a smile, he enjoys coming and meeting new friends and being put through his paces by some of the best pro fighters. The value for money is excellent being able to come 2x during the week with the flexibility of days too gives him the freedom of when he wants to come.

Have always wanted to join a gym to learn a combat sport but forever struggled taking that first step through the door. I then gave The Combat Academy a call early in 2023 and haven't looked back since. The coaches are excellent, all staff and members incredibly friendly and welcoming and there's a great atmosphere around the place. Suitable for everybody no matter age or experience and a great way to stay fit.

I can not recommend this place enough.
I was dubious to join originally as I’ve a hidden disability that affects my joints so I wasn’t sure if it would be the right fit for me. My coach couldn’t have been more understanding and supportive and guided me through my first sessions to ensure I could manage certain exercises or if struggled he adapted things for me. I’m now nearly a year in and both my physical fitness and mental health have never been so good.
What originally started out as a test to see if I could exercise again has turned into a journey of self development and a new found love for the sport. I never would have dreamt that I’d be sharing the mats with so many incredibly talented and knowledgeable people and aiming towards my 4th belt.
The Combat Academy is a real community that makes you feel welcome and at home from the moment you start. No matter what age or level of fitness you are there is always encouragement from your teammates and coaches.
When fitness feels like fun you know you've cracked it!
