The best makeup school you can go! I had Foundation makeup courses here, Creative and editorial, SFX (special effects) courses and wish there were more! Very knowledgeable people, kind, warm, supportive, I always felt like at home. The highest level of teaching, and hygiene, and when I was choosing where to learn how to apply makeup - this was for me the main reason to choose this school! Teachers really care for you to feel comfortable and to understand everything. Always excited if there are some events there, as its always something amazing, for example, the event with colour analysis of what colours suit you the best!

I began this course without any prior experience in make-up, and I’m so pleased I chose the IMA Foundation course at The Central School of Make-up. The tutors have been incredibly patient, explaining everything so clearly, and their support has really helped to build my confidence.

At first, I found the course a bit daunting because I hadn’t worked with make-up before, but I enrolled to develop new skills that would support my photography work.

I’m thrilled that I made the decision to join — the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and everyone is approachable, which helped me feel comfortable right away.

We use the school’s own extensive range of make-up products in class, giving us the chance to try out different brands. Hygiene is also a top priority, which is really reassuring when working with shared products.

All in all, I’d highly recommend this course. It’s given me a great foundation, and I’m excited to continue my journey with The Central School of Make-up by joining more of their courses to keep expanding my skills.

Had a fab morning with Laura on Tuesday. My husband brought me a voucher for a one to one make up lesson as I wasn’t sure if the make up I was using was still appropriate for me now at 59. I had a great time at the Central School Of Makeup. I did the IMA foundation level intensive 4 day course. The school was very flexible and adapted the course to my needs and timeframe. The makeup studio was fully equipped with a wide range of high end and drugstore makeup and skincare products. It was also extremely clean, tidy and hygienic. Everything is run at the top level of professionalism. Laura and Becky are wonderful teachers. They have a lot of patience, passion and take pride in what they do. I am grateful for all the knowledge, skills and techniques they shared with us. I left feeling very confident to work on clients and do various makeup looks. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to start makeup or like myself wanting a refresher.

I’d been looking for a training course in makeup for a long time when I came across the Central school of makeup based conveniently based in Birmingham and ideal for me with the 10wk course running on a Sunday. I found Laura and Becky to be very pleasant and helpful with Laura responding very quickly when I emailed work over for her to check. Becky was our main teacher offering excellent demonstrations for use all to follow. Whilst there we had the experience of several makeup artists showing us various looks. The school itself was well stocked with various makes of makeup no shortage of choice! The classroom area was very neat and kept to a high standard. Given the opportunity I would definitely train there again.

We've just had an absolutely fabulous time at the Central School of Make up. We booked a Saturday morning one to one session for 2 mid 50's girls who were looking for a refresh, advice and tips. And we were not disappointed! We had such a great time, our make up artists were brilliant, so friendly but professional and their knowledge was second to none. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking to get into the makeup industry! Through this course you are given the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and techniques, different looks and are also able to experiment with many different products. Not only do you learn physical skills, but also a deep insight into the industry and how to be successful in your business. This 10 week course was such an enjoyable experience, this wasn’t just a learning experience but a chance to meet some amazing people and make a great group of friends. Laura, our tutor is incredibly talented and passionate about the makeup industry and was so supportive throughout our course. I could not recommend this course enough!
