We had an enjoyable time here. The upstairs gym is very well supplied and there is a smaller downstairs area for families to work out together. The pool is a good size and there are the desirable extras such as sauna and steam room. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue for us was the family changing area which is very small with no toilet. I would recommend.

Enquired about a guest pass to help a mate out who had recently signed up to a membership here, told them I probably wouldn't be signing up as I live in a different area, so was honest. Was informed by Jordan it will be £20 not free. Almost a month's membership at my gym, why advertise free guest passes then change the rules?

The Staff are so rude. I've never known a group of people work in the service industry and be allowed to act this way. Why work with people if you don't like them? Walking through reception and there's 6 members of staff sniggering, yet not one even acknowledges that you exist. Or the trainers who like to film themselves constantly with you in the background. Errr no thanks. The gyms equipment is dated. Only two cable machines which people spend their entire workout on. Lots of ripped carpets and missing pins. The equipment is filthy. The sauna/pool is used by lots of smelly men, who do not shower, and go straight in the water after working out. So they are washing in the water you are in..Nice.. it's a really good gym if you like to see men blow drying their feet and hairs in their private areas with the hair dryers that should be only for your head hair.

Nice gym, brill facilities but customer service isn’t great.. all for signing people up for memberships in a hurry but cancelling memberships becomes a long problematic process.

Cashless, card only venue. Did have a rota in place and a kids club but the kids club ended up being cancelled during our 12 month gym membership meaning we couldn’t use the gym while our children were with us... mainly went with Total Fitness as they offered this service HOWEVER they put things right in the end by refunding part of the membership due to the services being withdrawn.

OK gym, £50pm adult membership, most annoying gripe is there is no way to control temp of showers, even £12pm gyms have this option, shower 1 will be pumping out ice cubes but shower 2 next to it will be hotter than lava.
Gym itself is large and airy, equipment is in OK condition, free weights aren't organised so you have to go searching for the weight you need.
Plenty of free weight based machines but again need to search for correct plates.
There is also a fair number of machines with integrated weights, most seem to work fine but are a little worn.
Tonnes of cardio equipment but seem mishmash of different makes and models and condition.
Main attraction is the three pools which is why it costs so much. Main pool is wide enough for multiple swim lanes (four or five), children pool is nice and heated and hydro pool is very large and great for post workout relaxation.

Fortunately I am a member of TF at another club where there are no issues and I enjoy it very much. TF Bolton (where I sometimes visit on my travels) is horrendous in comparison…all the carpet on the gym floor is grubby and lifting, most of the machines are dated and pins either missing or do not insert correctly. The free weight area is the worst I have seen in any gym, free weights lying about everywhere and a huge mess. I am saddened to even leave 1 star, it should be 0.

Smelly old gym. Ancient dirty and unkempt equipment. I wouldn't recommend the sauna/steam room just in case you catch some dangerous bugs.

Lovely gym. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lots of exercise machines and plenty of space to work out. Gym classes are on as well 2 pools, steam room, sauna room big jacuzzi. Bit pricey but you pay for the facilities. Hope this helps. Thanks
