Room was good value for money, well equipped and pet friendly with an outdoor patio, perfect for letting the dogs outside. £30 pet surcharge was very reasonable. Very clean with a lovely bathroom, however the double bed was two twins pushed together which was disappointing. Breakfast was included with a good selection of cooked and cold choices. But I was extremely annoyed that the hot plates were empty half an hour before breakfast finished, with the chef refusing to cook more hot food. Thankfully the manager acted on this after complaints being made, meaning some further cooked breakfast options made it to the buffet before breakfast finished, but not all. Due to this the breakfast was massively which was a disappointment. The options I did have were hot and of good quality at least, but that doesn't make up for the attitude of the chef who was huffing and puffing at the thought of having to do her job. This seriously needs addressing. I would stay again purely because of the room being practical and being able to bring pets is a massive bonus, but I would need to see the breakfast situation improved in order to give a better star rating for this property.

Golf course is beautiful, but in poor condition - greens rather slow, need mowing; bunkers ill -kempt.
Hotel rooms fine, but catering rather plain and self- service. I had a beef dish which was very tough and chewy.

Last week I booked front 9 for a quiet relaxing game getting back into Golf.
Josh as his usual arrogant slap dash self, not a smart move for front of house attitude ruined the whole thing. Not the first time I may add.
On arrival was told I could go 2 tee times earlier. I was informed later from a 4 ball in front of me it was because two elderly gents hadnt arrived they were told the same. We decided our t times between us. That was pushed to one side, Josh allowed the later comers to barge in as I was about to commence. This to me is not acceptable, I have known people to lose their place because of late arrivals.
I had to wait up to 10/15 mins before I could play each hole. Even their use of a buggy did not speed their game up.
During the session I had to wait for the two ball to proceed forward during play with the four ball waiting two hundred yards behind after they teeing off.
I walked off the course before the 7th hole
Not acceptable Josh you should stick to playing or working you can't do both.

Currently staying at Staverton Park and everything about the complex is fantastic. 4 day's of golf & the course is in great condition over than the greens! What are Staverton doing? They are the slowest greens I've ever played on, can the green keepers take the mowing machine for a service & get the blades sharpened. Shocking doesn't come close

Beyond it’s drab beige decoration Staverton Park has little to recommend it. On the first night of my visit I was served a micro portion of chicken tikka with 4 cubes of meat in a tiny bowl. More of a soup than a meal. I told a member of staff who said they’d relay the complaint to the kitchen, but no refund was offered & subsequent drinks were still charged at full price.

On the second evening of my stay, returning to my room after midnight I was greeted by a drunken rabble in the stairwell on first floor corridor. It was intimidating. It felt unsaf. Once I got to my room the door key card would not work to give me access. I had to return to the reception which was also rowdy. I described the situation to the man at reception who appeared indifferent to my complaint and without apology sorted the key pass.

This is a low class, bawdy establishment with poor customer service behind a smart facade and attractive location. Parking is an issue with an over full car park meaning luggage had to be carried a significant distance to our room. Avoid at all costs unless you’re really stuck & don’t mind putting up with shoddy attitudes, service & food. Very disappointing & overpriced for the experience.

Booked a 4 ball with a bacon roll included in the deal the at Staverton golf club
The parking was easy with plenty of spaces
The club house was modern with good facilities
The golf shop was well equipped & the service was excellent thank you joules your a star
The course was in good condition
But unfortunately we had heavy rain during our game
The game of play was no queing so happy .
We will definitely be returning
