I have just finished a crochet for beginners course. It was fantastic, I have learnt so much and really enjoyed attending. Karen was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I was one of a group of 6, everyone had different capabilities but that didn't matter. Definitely would recommend the course to anyone.

Just finished a 'sewing for beginners' course. It was really, really enjoyable. It is a great environment with a nice group size (4 people) and a very knowledgeable and creative tutor. The course went at a really nice pace and was very relaxed. I'll miss not going on Sunday's.

I first walked through the doors at Straightcurves for a crochet course and immediately felt welcome and at ease.

I had tried other crochet classes, but the teaching style of Owner Karen Rogers was patient, thorough and good-humoured, all things that are important for me.

I have since furthered my crochet skills, learning a technique called Amigurumi at the studio run by lovely Alison, who is extremely patient and easy-going.

The studio runs a plethora of courses and workshops, for adults and children, go to the website or pop in and have a look and a chat with the lovely staff.

I have also attended beading and felting workshops, and a brilliant informal gathering called Woolly Wednesday where you take your latest woolly project, work and chat with other like-minded people at the studio and every time I come away with a new skill under my belt, and pleasing results, but ,most of all having enjoyed a really positive and enjoyable social interaction.

I can honestly say discovering Straightcurves is the best thing I've done in 2014, and I would highly recommend it to anybody

I have done quite a few workshops at Straight Curves and always found them brilliant ! As a teacher myself all I can say is the tuition and support given is great and I always have lots of fun! I've also recently done a couple of 1:1 sessions which are equally as good. Cannot recommend Straight Curves enough! Thanks ladies.

Fantastic place to visit, so much variety, there really is something for everybody. My daughter loves the Jumping Clay sessions and we were regulars at Little Creatives before she started school.
Wonderful staff, so friendly and helpful. Straightcurves is most definitely a home away from home!

I can't recommend StraightCurves enough - structured, fun and creative children's parties; patient, knowledgeable and extremely friendly tutors and information sharing, caring and biscuity socials - it has it all.
If you have ever thought about learning a new crafting skill or expanding your knowledge of a much loved hobby - just do it, you won't regret it. ❤️?

Always a great place to get brilliant tuition in a variety of crafts. Many talented tutors too. I have attended crochet, sewing, art, dying, coiled basket making, weaving to name just a few and they never disappoint.

UPDATE: For Karen to cast aspursions/lies against my character shows exactly the 'type' of person she is - most regrettable Karen, but thank you for the £11.00 refund against the £70 I paid out!!
My initial experience with Karen in learning a crochet skill was great
However on a follow up course the tuition was very lacking...so much so that I felt I couldn’t complete the swirl blanket
I requested a partial refund of the £70 as the course wasn’t as advertised but this was refused.... very disappointing
In future I will be attending other local venues and suggest this for others
