I started my journey at Acquiesce on a 28 day programme and ended up extending for a further 2 weeks. The way the whole treatment and facilities is put together is second to none. The staff go above and beyond. This Rehab saved my life and for me personally I couldn't have chosen a better Rehab to do my treatment in.
A massive thank you from the bottom of my heart, for all the help, support, advice and love over my 6 weeks in treatment.
Lots of love Kelly (one grateful, recovering addict)

I recently had the truly life changing experience of attending Acquiesce Rehabilitation Centre. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and supported by the amazing, dedicated staff who genuinely cared about my journey to recovery.

The facilities were excellent, providing a comfortable and serene environment that was conducive to healing. The structured program was comprehensive, addressing not just the physical aspects of addiction but also the emotional and psychological aspects. Each day was thoughtfully planned with a mix of individual one to ones, educational sessions and group activities that equipped us with valuable coping strategies and insights.

In addition, the center offered a variety of holistic therapies which helped us reconnect with ourselves and find peace amidst the challenges of recovery.

The staff played a crucial role in my time at Acquiesce, with their consistent support & encouragement. The wealth of knowledge they possessed and shared was invaluable.

I am immensely grateful for the time I spent at Acquiesce. It has not only helped me regain control of my life but also gifted me with lifelong friends who continue to inspire and support me.

I wholeheartedly recommend this center to anyone seeking a path to recovery; it is a place where true healing happens.

I arrived broken, powerless, ashamed & wracked with guilt due to the mess my life had become. I left a different person, equipped with all the tools & confidence I need to live a happy, meaningful and fulfilled life.

Thank you Acquiesce, I will be forever grateful.

The 28-day rehabilitation I completed at Acquiesce has been excellent and a life changing experience for me. I was getting phone calls every day before my arrival to check how I was doing and to offer support. The support staff individually and collectively were amazing, providing support and made me feel welcome straight away.
Each session offered invaluable knowledge. Every session contained essential information that helped me as an individual to move forward. SMART recovery and techniques to support cravings were explained through in detail. Scientific knowledge of the brain and how it works in addiction was talked through in plenty of detail which was easy to understand. The twelve-step programme was explained in detail whereas before my time at Acquiesce, I never thought this was relevant to me. I now attend meetings regularly and am working through the early stages of the programme back home.
As part of my time at Acquiesce, I started doing yoga, meditation and acupuncture, which is something I would have not dreamt of ever doing beforehand. Acquiesce has opened my mind to different activities and ways of thinking. Yoga and meditation are now part of my routine and continue to help me through every day of my recovery. During my time at Acquiesce, they have also showed me how I can have fun without the use of alcohol which I never thought was possible.
The support I received from the staff whenever I needed throughout my stay was fantastic and my individual sessions were hugely beneficial, not only to the rehabilitation treatment, but the growth in my self and journey in growing stronger. The management team were organised and Acquiesce is very well run with a hands on approach. The wealth of knowledge the staff have, and shared was invaluable. All the staff went above and beyond to support me throughout my time at Acquiesce. I have finished my treatment a week ago and the staff have been calling to check how I am doing. During the phone call, they offer advice and can ask any questions you have. The staff during the phone call are so supportive and clearly want the best for their clients. My peers and group have been absolutely wonderful and supportive, we are learning, growing, laughing and healing together. I would highly recommend Acquiesce if you or a loved one want to turn around your addiction. I can whole-heartedly say this is the place to be.
A special mention has to go to my practitioner Simon. Simon has had such a profound impact on my life and I strongly believe Simon was my practitioner due to my higher power. His experience, knowledge and understanding was a great source of strength, and I know without Simon being at the centre of my treatment, I would not be the person I am becoming. Simon helped me understand that my addiction and helped me understand that my addiction was not my choice and that I was worthy of being helped. He also showed me that I was not too far gone in my addiction and am worth of living a happy life. Whether it be spiritual, tool based or just a general chat; Simon’s words were always comforting, and his advice was always helpful to the degree that it changed my thinking for the better. Simon has had a massive impact on me and there are no words that will ever explain how grateful or blessed I feel to have met this kind, intellectual and gentle person.

To Acquiesce as a whole, I am a better person who strives to become better on a daily basis thanks to the experience you gave me and have a life worth living for.
Thank you so much for everything!

Yours Truly,
Maude

I have recently completed 6 weeks at Acquiesce treatment centre, wow it has truly saved my life. The whole experience was bitter sweet, but the BEST 6 weeks.

Going to try mention the points I was most worried about / curious in hopes it helps someone.

General:
As a 23year old I was very anxious about coming to the treatment centre for numerous reasons, one being ‘ I won’t get on with 50 year old alcoholics’ (( prejudice of me, but I ironically i am friends with those ‘50 yr old alcoholics’ and i’m so grateful that i am <3)) The fellowship doesn’t discriminate and neither does addiction Just wanted to mention that for anyone younger with similar concerns. I have made some genuine life long connections which is something I really worried about not being able todo and coming back out to life with no one who understands me. The community within Acquiesce and the fellowship is unexplainable, in the most amazing way. It is like one big supportive family including the staff. It’s a huge step to take seeking help and I believe Acquiesce is the place to do it. We researched numerous treatment centres around the UK with various cost, and chose here due to the reviews, they speak for themselves. I’ve found my spark & confidence, other people will see it in you and you will feel it if you follow the programme and are willing. Staff/Peers: I went into treatment thinking the staff aren’t going to be able to relate and they’re just there to do a job & get paid… it couldn’t be further from the truth. They genuinely care about you and your recovery, I didn’t feel judged or dismissed at any point. The sessions are done in a way where you don’t feel like you’re back at school in a classroom. The thoughts or feelings that feel insane, they won’t bat an eyelid nor will your peers. Whenever & wherever they can, they will help you, as well as having a laugh with you. Be forever grateful for all of them and can’t wait to see them again when I can come in for my 6+ month talk 🙂 Treatment: The days don’t feel too long, 10am to 3.30pm. There’s 3 breaks inbetween to break up the day. They offer CBT & SMART recovery sessions, some naturally you’ll engage with more than others, some will be more emotional for you than others. Lots of handouts & workbooks are given so you can refer back and re-visit. The more science based sessions with Simon are very interesting, they are shared in a way that gives you enough knowledge on it without it being over baring & too much to not understand. Those are the ones i find myself thinking back on whilst in recovery, the physical effects it had on me. There is the right balance of Holistic therapies; Reiki, Acupuncture, Yoga, massage & meditation. I enjoyed all the above and continue practicing more during my recovery. Such an eye opening time, a lot of it I am introducing into the peoples around me lives too. Residential: Houses are in a different location from the treatment centre. Good spaces, big communal areas. Basic supplies provided.Shopping twice a week, Mondays & Thursdays, cash needed but can go to cash machines the day before. Comfy clothes, and something with a hood / coat for the walks on Sundays incase it rains. I could go on. A lovely place to be, in a very hard but powerful period of your life. Thank you Acquiesce for helping shape me into the women I am becoming, gifting me best friends and a new way of life ?

Acquiesce an established private centre who I recently recommended to someone who is struggling with their addition. Asking for help is hard. I said just call and a friendly understanding person will talk you through your personal needs. They provide an assessment, referral to a detox, & if required, rehabilitation in one of their houses, a clean and safe place to stay. Confidentiality and a way forward to a better life.

I cannot thank Acquiecse enough for the care, compassion and understanding they gave me. They taught me about the disease of addiction and the tools to manage it for a healthier and happier future.
All the staff are amazing, so knowledgeable and strive to make your experience the best it could be.

Words alone cannot express the gratitude I have for the advice, guidance and support I received during my 12 week stay at Acquiesce. The program on offer is amazing.

Not only do I feel so different but I have learnt so much, not only in my 1 to 1s but also in all the sessions I participated in. I really appreciate all the experience and wisdom they have shared with me.

I leave Acquiesce with a very clear understanding of the disease of addiction as well as all the tools I need to live a happy, meaningful and fulfilling life.

Thanks for everything you do to help the still suffering addict.
