An excellent introduction to crazy patch. Claire is very patient and demonstrates each stage clearly and simply. We had complete freedom over our choice of fabric and all equipment is provided. The ability to take away the finished article is very satisfying. Highly recommended

What a fantastic place. I have done a lot of the on-line sewing courses, bought my sewing machine from Beautiful things, purchased fabric and had patterns printed. Wonderful, friendly service and always a joy to pop in and see what is happening. Looking forward to going along to some in person classes very soon.

I attended a one day intensive sewing class at beautiful things as an absolute beginner. The course is first class. Sandra was an outstanding teacher, demystifying any difficult areas in an incredibly patient and engaging way. She was so warm and welcoming, as well as taking care to ensure that everyone took away 3 beautiful projects, (completed to a great standard,) by the end of the day. I have also enjoyed Claire’s fabulous online videos, and feel I’ve discovered a hidden gem in Brentwood. Gorgeous environment too. I have already returned to Beautiful Things for a dress making course with Claire, which is, of course, of the same excellent standard!!

Amazing time learning to make a sample roman blind that I can then use to make ones to size for my home. Really clear instructions and teaching from Claire (with a healthy dose of humour and laughs) plus all the materials and a set of instructions to take home to refer to. A wonderful day of making.

It doesn’t matter what age you are there’s something for everyone!
This photo was the output from a kids class run by BTHQ. Not only was my daughter over the moon at her achievements in a few hours, which included the choosing, measuring and cutting of fabric as well as the sewing but she came home wanting to do more!
She has just turned 13 and was given the right amount of guidance and support and in the small class environment everyone was catered for according to their needs. Highly recommended ?
