I would definitely recommend Bronte Canine Dog Training!
When we first got our pup back in 2023 we took him to Paula’s puppy sessions which were fantastic and have just finished having 6 1-2-1 sessions to tackle him pulling on the lead. Paula took a holistic approach to the problem, giving us advice and training on different aspects such as diet, rest, steadiness etc which were all playing a part in our pup pulling on the lead. It’s certainly all worked! We know have calmer walks where we’re not getting dragged about with the lead!
Paula is very calm and patient, she talked us through all the science and theory behind each technique so it’s been a learning experience for both me and the pup!

Can't recommend Bronte Canine enough, my dog can be quite fearful and anxious, but Paula is so patient. Explains everything throughly with the reasoning and science behind it. Allowing me to understand why we do what we do and the behaviours of my dog. Paula's aim is to work with the handler in order to train the dog. I have come on a learning journey as well as my dog, and the progression we are making together is fantastic. Thank you. I started my dog training with Paula in July and have done both 1 to 1 and group sessions both of which i would recommend. Darcey was 13 months old and I don't mind admitting I was at the end of my tether. She's definitely a crazy cocker!! Paula is knowledgeable, calm and ensures you get your money's worth. She's not just a dog trainer, she's training you too! I had no confidence in how to deal with the antics and walking her was becoming a chore. The improvement I've seen is fabulous and more than this Darcey loved it. Darcey had never been still long enough to get a true reading on the weighing scales at the vets but last visit I had a calm dog who was weighed, sat calmly in the waiting room and stood still for her checks and vacines. Our walks are enjoyable and we've bonded! We are taking a break from classes while we work on all the tips we've been shown but I wouldn't hesitate to book again and If I ever get a new pup I'd register on the puppy classes ASAP!

Paula is an absolutely fantastic trainer, shes hugely helped us with teaching our pup new skills and he’s progressed massively within the last 3 weeks. Paula has helped us develop skills in regards to recall, settle, nipping and biting and lead work. I would highly recommend training sessions with Paula.

Not all Dog Trainers are born equal.

Just finished one of Bronte Canine's dog training courses and cannot recommend Paula enough. You can tell she has spent years honing her skills, achieving qualifications and has real life experience of putting those skills to work with pets and working dogs alike.

Her approach to giving each handler both general and specific advice either via face to face or her portfolio of online material, means you are never far from support and guidance regardless of the challenge.

Despite having been to other training classes and watching / reading various information on ways to train, Paula provided exceptional targeted advice that saw almost instant results making for a happier, healthier relationship between me and my pup.

I definitely feel that I left the course armed with the skills and knowledge that if we continue to practice, I will have the perfect pup (and pup will have a pretty good owner).

We have been training with Paula since Pippa was 12 weeks old. The training has been fantastic, we have had 1:1 sessions and regular weekly group sessions. Paula supported us through 8 months of very little physical exercise due to leg operations, don’t know what we would have done without Paula’s brain games advice. She gets 5 stars from me!!!!!!

Paula was really calming and reassuring whilst teaching us how to train our 7mth GSD puppy. Our concerns and needs were listened to and a detailed 1:1 training programme was clearly set with options for us to choose from as we felt most important. Training sessions were quickly followed up with detailed notes to use at home and links to helpful videos. I’d highly recommend and will be going back for further training once we’ve embedded the initial steps. Thank you!
