CICD / College for International Co-operation & Development

Franz Gualdron

Let's call it a live changing experience. It is a place to learn and improve yourself. You can enroll in volunteering projects to travel to African countries or go to India. You will have no regrets. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience. Life-changing. I was a student at CICD between 2006 and 2008. I learned a lot, made great friends, and was able to go to Mozambique to volunteer and make a difference for a better world. Today, in 2024, I'm visiting the college for some days and having the same great feeling I had many years ago.

What an amazing place to learn a lot, to meet new people, to share community values, and to prepare ourselves to be able to contribute more to the world as a volunteer. Every day in the school is an opportunity to grow in some many different ways! It's a challenging Programme with many activities and responsibilities, that help all of us to improve our skills and our sense of community daily. I'm very very grateful to be part of it <3

My first time in this community school was in 2019. I was part of several programs (Gaia, 12 month-team, Climate Activist) and now I am in the 10 month team again! It is a life experience to come here, and it has something that makes me believe that it is a good place to learn and to draw your path. What CICD gave me: you are trained as a Development Instructor in order to take part in a community from an African country, mostly now in Zambia and Malawi. And believe me, it is an amazing experience. I encourage all of you to lose (or to win!!) some time of your day checking the website or speaking with someone from here. It will be interesting for you to know about it or even to join! People from different part of the world gather here, following the same goal. Different programs are happening, available soon and with different thematic. It is 'Another Kind of School ', under the approval of the English Government.

If you are looking for a place to learn, to develop skills for volunteering and also for life; a place where you will improve your English, where you will share living, cooking, cleaning, working in an organic garden and studing with people from everywhere and every age, this is your place! We all came from very different backgrounds, experiences and lifes but we all share a goal here. And that pass through becoming a better human.

One of the very best choices I have ever done in my life- to come here and grow. CICD has been a school, a infinite source of learnings professionally and personally, a family and a home for a long period of time.

My life changed as soon as I found out about this place. I did the volunteer programme twice and volunteered in Mozambique and Zambia. This is literally another kind of school and if you're looking to make at least some kind of change to the world also...even to yourself, this is the place to start.
