Just finished 4 days training of reach truck and counter balance truck here. Nice place to learn here. Really appreciate their help arranging an early training time for me to fit my family schedule.
Big thank you to my instructor Mick, who is friendly and patient, and interesting guy to talk to.
The only thing I would recommend is increasing the washroom capacity. Only 1 toilet for male may not be sufficient if there is a big class of learners.

I had a 3 day counterbalance course and upon arrival was introduced to my instructor Gary who has served over 20 years as an operator and moved onto becoming an excellent instructor..He is always calm and full of praise to the client when they perform well and I would highly recommend Forward Stephen Training to anybody wishing to undertake their Reach or Counterbalance certificate. The other instructor Mick is great at his profession and a great laugh too. A 5 star review for a 5 star service.

Five start training from five star teachers.
Training in the classroom consistently relates to working on warehouse floor; ie the importance of the relevant codes of practice in work.
Teachers are experienced, dedicated and accessible with a real warmth to trainees.
Once on the forklift trucks; Mick my teacher was positive and clear with his instruction.
An experienced teacher, Mick tweaks his approach to each trainee, ensuring you learn at your own pace. If you catch on quickly he will progress you, if you are struggling he will seek a way to help you learn.
The course is well-planned, superbly delivered and a real asset to the local area.
Whether you are a novice or someone seeking to refresh their skills, I cannot recommend Forward Step Training enough.

Absolutely amazing company, really dedicated to making sure everyone who walks through the door leaves with smile on their face. I was here for a 1 week course for counterbalance and reach and happily passed. The dedication from my trainer Mick was top point, helps on areas you need it and encourages on everything you feel un easy on. Absolutely top bloke, proper lads lad, if your lucky he might pop the kettle on when it's cold outside. Only downside is.... he's a baggies fan so beware.

Having had a week in class with mams, his instruction does not include PowerPoint or the available technologies but I would hope he does not change.
Mams instruction was excellent, informative and with a sprinkle of humour as classroom work on green subjects can be dull at times and mams kept the students focussed with his methods of instruction.
Having now completed the FLT and green warehousing course, I would like to add that Micky the FLT instructor was and is a perfect fit for that Job. His instruction was clear and precise and with health and safety in mind as machinery is dangerous in the hands of those trained on it so to train students with little or no knowledge of a FLT is a feat in itself.
Again, like mams, his instruction has the perfect blend, though Micky has to be more forthright with health and safety implications.
I personally appreciated his blend of precise communication/ instruction allied with humour when appropriate whilst not using the FLT. I would recommend anyone who wants to become a FLT driver to use your company.
There was one slight downside, it is damn cold on the shop floor FLT training area, I mean really cold and I would suggest this needs looking into for students to keep fully focused. The fuel heater when available is not ideal as though it brings up the temperature slightly, it then adds fumes as doors and shutters are closed to keep the heat in but offers no ventilation.
My point here is for your company to take this on board, it in no way reflects on the staff training the students and I repeat, the instruction was excellent.
Both mams and Micky are assets to your company and very likeable people too this also applies to Gemma, though I spent much less time in her company.
I was with Nick for a while too, he was clear and concise with CV/ Cover letter development. He just needs to a Little firmer with students but as he is new to this role that will come in super quick time. It is an observation to be learned from rather than criticism.
It’s been a pleasure to have them teach me.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to because I thought it would be one of those boring courses but it wasn’t the forklifts we’re very fun and being in the classroom wasn’t boring either. Michael is a legend and very funny, Mams is a great teacher, Gemma is amazing as well.

Mams was absolutely a bad ass knowledge unfounded mick absolutely a gem of gems clear instructions aka magic Mike known as Gary he was a phonemonal teacher gema a gem done my CV made me look like a double gem lol kind regards delroy
