During my initial interview with Green Light, I enjoyed meeting Kerry. Her warm welcome immediately set a positive tone; she is dedicated to recruiting the right staff to provide exceptional care for their residents.

The training was thorough but engaging. It is ongoing, and there is plenty of room to progress if you wish. There are many different contracts and hours to suit your schedule, which is excellent. All the people in my training were really lovely.

The owners' dedicated brother and sister team are authentic and firmly committed to empowering individuals with autism. They have cultivated a warm, familial atmosphere that distinctly sets their company apart from typical care providers.

Green Light fosters a positive atmosphere throughout its head office homes and staff. All the managers have been welcoming in my home. I am pleased with the team and the residents I look after. Every day or night is different and varied.

Since I arrived at GL (dec 2024) I don't think I've met anyone that I don't get along with. The interview was more of a nice chat with like minded people and so I found this an easy process and it did make me more optimistic for the 6 month probationary. I've never worked in this industry so I was a bit apprehensive as to how I might get on and thus far (3 months in) I've had a great experience. Everyone around me from the management team to my fellow colleagues have been really understanding and have guided me through these first weeks and months and have aided me in building my confidence around the people we support and the tasks we perform. Every shift is different and although I've had some difficult shifts, the good ones far outweigh the bad!

I joined Green Light three months ago, looking to change my life and start a new career. With no previous experience in support work, I was so nervous about starting my induction. However, everyone at Green Light is so welcoming and knowledgeable, and during training have given me the tools that I need to provide a great standard of person centred care. After completing my training and going to my allocated house, my Manager and team have been so supportive, and offered me guidance to help me continue to learn on the job. I love working with the people we support, every day is different, with new challenges and fun activities, and it’s rewarding to be a part of something that really makes a difference in people’s lives.

I really enjoyed my 6+ years at Green Light going from Support Worker to Registered Manager and very often I didn’t really even feeling like I was going to work. Green Light supported me to develop and grow as a manager and supported me to complete Levels 3 & 5 in Health and Social Care. I will forever have gratitude for the opportunities that Green Light gave me and the hard work I put in paid dividends with them. I made friends for life and met some incredible people along the way; both colleagues and the individuals we supported. You get back what you put in, if you work hard and try hard you achieve things with the people you support and ultimately the job gives you immense job satisfaction but most important of all is that the people at the centre of the care are having cracking days and achieving new and greater things all the time.

A fantastic company to work for. I left hospitality management with no experience to join Greenlight, and I couldn’t be happier that I did. You feel really appreciated for your work within the company, the training is thorough & confidence boosting for new starters, I was offered flexibility in my contract to allow me to match my previous management salary, which being new to the industry, I felt was very impressive. The company offers a wellbeing scheme, progression to management, and ample hours with every opportunity to pick up additional shifts. I’m a month into my new role and I don’t have a single complaint about my experience . Be prepared to travel to Newquay for three weeks during the induction and because of pay cut off periods, your first monthly wage will be a considerably smaller, something to be prepared for.
