My sons (aged 6 & 3) had their first riding experience yesterday at Little Trotters and it was a splendid success! We managed to book a same day woodland walk ride and it was fantastic for them. They were made to feel very comfortable and fully involved through each part of the experience. The lovely staff were ever so considerate and kind which really helped my sons feel confident and quickly relax to enjoy their first ride. From the hat fitting to meeting and leading the ponies, mounting and tack checks; they were totally engaged. The ponies were incredibly sweet natured but with little personalities! The trek was so magical through the woodland. I got to take plenty of photos and at no point we felt rushed, it was a well thought through experience.
After saying goodbye to the ponies the boys got to meet and hold guinea pigs. There are donkeys in the field, an outdoor seating area and a horse box serving coffee and treats. A perfect afternoon for the little ones, or as my 6 my said, best day ever!
Thank you Little Trotters for helping to nurture their interest and confidence with ponies. Highly recommend ?

My daughter had a wonderful experience here, even though it was raining. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the ponies were excellent.
There is a lack of parking, which I wasn't aware of. And not being from the area, I struggled to find somewhere to park.
Also, on the website, it said the session was 45 mins, but we only had 30.
But overall, it was an absolutely lovely time and a great introduction to horse riding.

Went here recently with our two year old for a party. Staff here were fantastic from the moment we arrived, they went out of their way to put the children at ease. Special thanks to Summer who led the pony round the trail, she made such an effort to interact and really made the experience that much more special. Really well laid out, good amount of time to spend with all the animals there. The woodland trail was much more than we expected. We will definitely be returning.

AMAZING BIRTHDAY PARTY!

We had my little girls 3rd birthday party here with 10 of her friends and I can’t fault them! What a great experience! And really well run.

The kids rode the ponies, groomed them, played with cookie the Guinea pig, then went and had lunch with activities and tattoos (transfers ?) then sung happy birthday with cake.

The kids loved it and weren’t ever given the chance to get bored.

The entire team at little trotters were friendly, polite and great with kids.

If you want a truly magical pony party for your little one. This is the place to go!

N.B. Parking is a little tricky, but a cheap, big car park is a 2min walk away. I would arrive a little early and ensure all people attending know where this car park is. That will make the entire event run smoothly.

I took my 6 year old niece to do a Woodland ride here & she absolutely loved it. The woodland ride area is well thought-out with little surprises all the way round to look out for. The ponies are beautiful and well natured and my niece was able to groom her pony before the ride. The staff were all really welcoming and friendly. The area was done up nicely with bunting & a coffee wagon with benches. There is also a lovely barn area with guinea pigs. Thoroughly recommend!

What a wonderful day my grandson had on the farm, he had been invited to his friends birthday ? party. I was asked if I’d take him, I’m so glad I did. What an amazing sanctuary for the animals and such fun for the kids. The staff were brilliant with the kids, all I had to do was to sit at the coffee shop and watch the children grooming the ponies, riding the ponies, then over to the party area for food, games and cake. We got to see the goats and bull Ringo. All in all a brilliant day. 10/10 ?

We had a party for our daughters 5th birthday here on Sunday 10th April. We had 9 children in total. I thought the staff were welcoming, with a manager explaining the process to us on arrival, which was all very clear. The kids were split into 2 groups for the pony riding, it would have been nice to choose the group's prior to it starting, but it did work out with the birthday girl having 2 rides. The pony trek itself was really fun, parents can walk along with the kids and ponies through the woodland trail. My daughter loved spotting all the monkeys in the trees and the fairies. The staff were really friendly on the ride, chatting to the kids and making it all a bit more magical. Once the pony rides are complete the kids played games in the field whilst parents chatted. Not sure what they played but the kids said they enjoyed it. After that you move to another shed for the party food (which is basic, but really all that's needed) the kids really enjoyed this and wore cowboy hats, had their faces painted and played with the toys provided. Finally we did the cake and handed out the provided party bags. Parents all said how chilled it was which was nice and from our point of view as parents it was nice as we didn't have to arrange anything else for the day. Perhaps the best thing is that at bed time that night my daughter said she would dream about pony rides through the fairy forest ? Thanks

My 4 yr old daughter went for her first ever pony ride here today and it was absolutely brilliant! Lovely venue, beautiful woodlands, really nicely decorated and kept. The ponies were lovely and so well behaved. There's even a little coffee stand on site so you can grab a tea/coffee while your child goes for a ride. My daughter really enjoyed herself and can't wait to go back. Would definitely recommend.
