Phenomenal tuition for my 6 year old. First time fishing and we had a 2 hour private session with Justin. Could not have gone any better. Caught lots of fish and my son learned so much about fishing and appreciating nature. Justin is a fantastic teacher and has a great way with kids. We will be back!

Our fishing session with Steve was outstanding. Initially, Justin was our contact person who organised the session, and he did an amazing job ensuring we were booked with Steve.

Originally planned for my dad and my son, the session turned into a family affair when my 6 year old daughter expressed a keen interest in joining and took over from my dad. Steve welcomed her and ensured she felt included and engaged from the start.

Steve's teaching style was perfect for both adults and children. He conveyed fishing techniques, safety tips, and environmental awareness in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner. His patience and clear instructions kept everyone, including my young daughter, interested and excited about learning.

Steve's interaction with my son, who has special educational needs, was particularly impressive. He showed remarkable patience, making sure my son understood all the instructions. This level of personalised attention made the experience even more special for our family.

Overall, the professionalism and dedication of both Justin and Steve made the session a memorable and enriching experience. We left with new skills and cherished memories. I highly recommend Off The Scale Outdoor Education for anyone looking to learn fishing, especially families with young children or those with special needs.

My son had a lesson with Justin at the lake near Bolton and it was fantastic!! Justin communicated brilliantly with Eddie and he was thoroughly engaged throughout the whole learning experience. I also learnt a lot too!! Justin was a very knowledgeable coach and he made it fun for Eddie who was thrilled to catch 12 fish!!! My son was still buzzing hours later going to bed.

We had an amazing time last Saturday on a four hour fishing lesson with Justin and Steve. Both Coaches were excellent and very knowledgeable about fishing and wildlife in general, they are passionate about what they do and go to great lengths to make sure it is an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. They taught us lots of interesting information and we were able learn different techniques for catching different fish such as Bream, Rudd & Carp.

I went with my brother and Nephew (aged 13) and had a fantastic day out. We are all beginners and were surprised how quickly we were able to catch. The time flew by as we had so much fun and learned so much. We are thankful for a great experience and would definitely take lessons again with Justin and Steve. I would really recommend booking with these guys as it is a great experience for families and groups of all ages!

My son had the best time today! Learnt so much about fishing, being a novice he came home with great amounts of knowledge for the sport, he thoroughly enjoyed himself and did not want to leave! A massive bonus he caught numerous fish, and I could see his confidence growing the more he fished! I can highly recommend Off The Scale. My 4 and 7 year old had a brilliant first coarse fishing lesson with Justin. He had a really lovely manner with the kids and was really approachable and patient with them taking the time to explain everything in a way they could relate.
