My experience with PT Academy’s gym instructor course has been excellent. The course was well-organized, with clear guidance on all the key areas of fitness and training. I want to give a special thank you to Sofia, who was always so nice and supportive throughout the course. She was so accommodating for my practical as well and even opened the gym an hour early for me as I did not feel comfortable doing it in public hours! Her positive attitude and encouragement made the learning process enjoyable and motivating. Overall, I’m very happy with the experience!

My mentor, Sofia, had great knowledge, patience and was easily accessible for any help needed. 100% recommend for anyone thinking of taking the course. I regret choosing to complete my course with PT Academy. While the day-to-day running of the course wasn’t too bad and the tutors were decent, the lack of communication and professionalism from the company has been unacceptable.

Every time I called for updates, no one seemed to know what was going on. I waited nearly five months to receive my certificate, during which time I was constantly fobbed off with vague responses. This wasn’t an isolated experience either—over 20 people in my cohort went through similar, if not worse, situations.

The delays had serious consequences for me. I couldn’t start work without my certificate, and although PT Academy assured me that employers could contact them directly for confirmation, this was not sufficient. I lost multiple job offers because all they could provide was proof I had completed the course, which wasn’t enough for employers.

This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

I’ve only just started with PT academy but after starting two courses with different companies previously and quitting, I’d give this company 10 out of 10. Thorough, concise and not overwhelming or boring like previous hence why I quit! I haven’t tried the practical yet, I’ll update review if I can but I hope thats as thorough as the theory and a&p has been so far! It’s intense but I highly recommend this academy 🙂 I was told by someone and by previous reviews that it’s hard to get certs, I hope this isn’t accurate and find it hard to believe with how thorough they are. My experience with PT Academy has been overwhelmingly disappointing. From the outset, there was no real help or support offered. They simply provide you with a large volume of documents and expect you to manage everything on your own.

I faced a significant change in circumstances when I moved jobs just a month after signing up. I understand I was outside the 14-day cooling-off period, but the lack of flexibility and compassion from their team was disheartening. Despite knowing I wouldn’t be able to complete the course, I was still required to pay the full amount.

To make matters worse, their customer service is extremely poor. It takes weeks for them to respond to queries, which only adds to the frustration. For anyone considering this company, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you value proper support and communication.

I got a really good tutor Sofia (the second time around) but awful tutor the first time, which delayed my progress substantially due to very delayed responses and marking. The documents by PT academy were also full of errors. 5 star for my tutor though. Forms need to be fixed and other tutors need to be more like Sofia.

Lovely company. So far my experience with PT academy has been great, with my tutor Sofia being incredibly helpful, patient and understanding. I would however highly reccomend having a laptop or computer at your disposal to complete the courses. Despite it being possible on the phone, it is much more time consuming.
