Been training At Gracie Barra Barnsley for five years now along with my son who is nearly thirteen. It’s such a friendly welcoming atmosphere for all ages and abilities.

It’s been a life changing decision to train here , my sons c confidence has grown and We’ve both made some really good friends.

I’d recommend GB Barnsley to anyone, the professor , Oliver is a world class athlete and competes all over the world.

You have nothing to lose you get a free introductory class and everyone will welcome you there. BJJ is brilliant for self defence and you’ll get in really good shape as well.

I've probably attended 15/16 gyms over my life across the UK and Europe. This is the most professional set up I've encountered. It's extremely welcoming to new comers and the clarity of instruction is fantastic.

Our little one has been attending here since he turned 4. The team are great - patient, clear and full of motivation. The way they watch the children carefully and mentor individual changes is brilliant to watch. We have now been attending for a year and would thoroughly recommend that you give them a try.

This feels more like a family than a club. Very inclusive to all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities. I would highly recommend if you’re looking to learn a new skill, get in great shape and make some new friends along the way.

After seeing how many rave reviews Gracie Barra Barnsley has, it seemed like the obvious choice. It was. Before my taster session I enquired into what to expect and was given all the info anyone needs to not be nervous when I got there. The classes are so friendly, there's humour mixed in too and I come away feeling sweaty, worked out, and above all... Happy. It's so good my daughter goes too, it's family friendly and creates close friends, it has to when you spend so much time cuddling people 'over enthusiastically'. You don't need the gym when you have BJJ. Months into it I can't wait for the next class, come join us.

What a great club. After 6 sessions I'm starting to enjoy GBJJ. From training in other arts I still find it hard to want to be on the floor, but I've emptied my cup and embracing the discipline. The one thing that really stands out is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. The lesson structures and teaching method are also fantastic.

I took my son to Gracie Barra Barnsley over 1 year ago and he’s as loved it ever since he walked though the door. And From
day one we all was made very welcome everyone is very friendly and helpful ever member of staff have become like family to us I just wish I could give more than 5 stars ⭐️ professor oliver is one of the most Dedicated instructors I have seen my son as come on leaps and bounds since joining Gracie Barra Barnsley I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get there kids started in Jujitsu just give John and call and he will run though everything you need to know about the sport

I've never been a gym or fitness guy but after a bit of a health scare and having a child I wanted to look after myself more and get fitter. Joining Gracie Barra Barnsley was such a great decision! I'm a year in and with the help and motivation of the coaches, and my fellow training partners I have never felt better in fitness and mentally. Gracie Barra Barnsley is such an inclusive place and it wouldn't be what it is without Professer Oliver, and coaches Daniel, Matt, Lee. I can't wait til my little one is old enough so she can begin her Jujitsu journey here.
