Highly recommend: I always love visiting the RSPB Old Hall site.

Accessibility: excellent, adapted Disabled loo with adult changing table and hoist. Extensive paths are navigable and the car park is relatively close by. Lift to the cafe.

Site Map: a large site, so a lot of distance to travel, ask for a map.

Adults and Kids: Great day out and some interesting area for kids!

Charges: the carpark is free, entrance free to RSPB members, charges to non members.

Carpark: is free and relatively close.

Cafe: access by stairs or lift. Balcony seating when the weather is ok. Good range of choice and reasonable prices.

Shop: wide range of goods and food for birds...

Staff: kind and helpful.

First time coming here today and I cannot fault this nature reserve what a jewel it is. Really well maintained and it's bursting with life all around. Look forward to coming back and seeing what I can find next time.

It is such a privelege to spend time in these protected spaces.
Today was one of those days when my heart could have overflowed with joy! I am so incredibly grateful that we and nature have such places and such people as Zac and Spud to champion, protect and
advocate for them. Thank you so much for your kindness and helping to facilitate 'a bigger life' for me now. I am eternally grateful 💚

First visit, and we were highly impressed. Friendly greeting and facilities are spotless. Hides are all spacious with enough windows and seats for plenty of people. It's also nice that the hides are close to the waters edge. As a keen photographer, this makes a huge difference to the experience. Sadly we didn't see many birds but we will definitely back in the future. Highly recommended.

This is a great place to go to see British natural nature and a beautiful place to walk and enjoy spectacular scenery.
There are many different species of bird 🐦 here and there are lots of marsh land and trees a birds paradise.
There are warm heated bird watching cabins along the different routes you. an take along the many paths.
The facilities are top notch as there is a cafe on sight that serves fairly priced hit and cold foods with good seating and heating.
There are toilets 🚻 that are well kept and clean as well as a baby mother changing facility and disabled facilities are well taken care of.
It is free and parking is ample also free parking will attract many people as this is a cheap day out and a fun day out.
I seen many keen bird watchers with there long lense cameras but also seen many family's with children of all age's and they looked like they were having great fun.
It's a fun place to explore and has many bird's and some are rare within the UK but this spot you can see them.
I highly recommend this place
The staff are professional and friendly I was greater by a informative man who worked there at the fate and gave a talk about the history and the birds and what to do and expect and I found this very friendly and informative.
Highly recommend far all and everyone.

A lovely place for birdwatching. I don't go for that too much. For me it's lunch in the café and a walk as part of my keep fit regime.
Sadly the cafe has gone down the cost cutting route. Where before one could have a freshly prepared sandwich with a side salad these have been replaced by prepacked sandwiches. If like me you go for lunch your choice will be extremely limited!
Scones, cakes etc will not disappoint if sweet things are your preference.

Old Moor is my local RSPB reserve. The wardens & volunteers are really friendly & knowledgeable. It's great for birding (Bearded Tits aplenty on my visit!), photography, or just for a walk. There are plenty of activities for children. The paths/hides are accessible for the disabled. The café is good, too, with friendly staff. I can highly recommend the Coffee & Walnut Cake, & the Scones! The shop has a range of equipment for birders, bird food & gifts. There is a separate shop selling second hand books, too. Free for RSPB members.
