I’m glad I chose this nursery for my child! We recently moved to the UK and I have a 3 year old daughter who doesn't speak English yet. After 2 weeks she started learning more and more things. I was very anxious putting my little one to nursery but after speaking to the manager (Zahraa) she made me feel at eased. We worked together to settled my little one in, and now he is really enjoying nursery! All the staff are lovely and very welcoming! Thank you!

I can confirm that the negative reviews stated about this nursery are sadly results of the parents abusing their own children and then trying to pin it on the nursery when they have been caught out.

I have worked with children for the past 11 years including 4 years of those being in primary school nurseries and 1 month working in St. Stephens nursery, at the time I was there we passed an Ofsted inspection after such accusations were made.

In regards to the bruises that are being mentioned in a certain review, no one in the nursery was ever informed, it was only until a friend of theirs who just happen to be a friend of mine informed me about what she was told and then I immediately informed the manager who was in shock as this was the first time she had heard about it, she started up the investigation immediately. The father claims social services got involved because of the nursery when in fact social services got involved because a doctor had reported that the bruises were old by the time the parents had bought the child in to be seen by a doctor and things were just not adding up.

Another parent (another review left here) then came in the day after Eid with a ring far too small for her child's finger she had managed somehow to jam on his finger, his finger was extremely sore due to the ring being far too tight so a phone call was made to his mother to come and collect her son and take him straight to hospital to have the ring taken off.

His mother came in screaming and shouting, accusing staff of "not understanding the Muslim tradition" even though two members of staff present were Muslims. She also informed the manager that she was going to take the ring off his finger herself with a hot thread.

These two families then joined forces at the local primary school their older children attended together, social media, anywhere they could and decided to drag this nursery through the mud instead of owning up to their own errors.

No members of staff had ever left as a result of anything that had happened in the nursery.

I can assure you as well as working in this nursery for a month, my son had been attending this nursery for a whole year from the age of one. He loved every minute of it, he would run in smiling. The bond he had with all the staff were amazing and it was clear from day one that the staff loved him, he settled so quickly and he was always well looked after. He was always clean as he wasn't toilet trained at the time. He was so happy here I never wanted him to leave.

Tina and her staff always went above and beyond to support me. All the children were looked after really well and given the best care. Not once did any member of staff ever raise their voice. All the children were treated equally with love, care and professionalism.

I had a wonderful experience in the nursery but it was only a short term contract whilst I was sorting stuff out at home. I went back to work in schools and eventually I had to reluctantly take my son out of St. Stephens after their hours had reduced which wouldn't have suited my working hours.

My daughter started here when she was 2 years old. As a very anxious mum I was very nervous leaving my daughter in the hands of someone else. However Tina and the team have been phenomenal from the first settling in session up until my daughters last day before starting school. I can't thank the team enough for looking after a piece of my heart everyday with so much love care and attention. Thank you St Stephens and I wish you all the best for the future

My son found it difficult to settle at 1st because he was so used to being around me and plus he was a covid baby. But 3-4 weeks in now and he loves it. The staff are brilliant with him even through his difficulties. He may have sensory difficulties and the nursery staff know this and they are so patient with him. Brilliant nursery. And I feel absolutely satisfied leaving my son in there capable hands.
And I just have to say I read 1bad review and the women who wrote that is delusional.
