Good Company to train with modern vehicles, Great instructors @Steve. Would recommend. I passed 1st time so can’t complain. The app for the Theory/Hazard, CPC MOD 4. Was brilliant user friendly made learning a breeze. I would recommend going for the sure pass for those with zero big vehicle experience. Pays off in the long run.

Unfortunately this company awards the candidate every opportunity to FAIL. As a broker, they are good at the "used car sales man tactic" to get you to part with circa £3,500, however, when it comes to the practical training, they 'box-tick' rather than think of the human factor element. They employ a HGV training company with a poor setup (clapped out lorry) and poor instructional skills. I complained twice and was promised they would respond to me. It's been 2 months and im still waiting. They are an expensive disappointment.

Update: further to the response below, I dispute your claims. I repeatedly telephoned your company and Rachel on 28th June (prior to tests) but all day no one answered their numbers.

On 1st July after having passed the reversing test (passed due to my learning off YouTube, as your brokered trainer failed to correctly train me!), I spoke at length with Rachel who dismissed my concerns.

Indeed I did not attend the second retest because as explained to Rachel, I felt you set my up to fail.

In a further telephone discussion on 5th August, I explained in great detail to one of your colleagues my experience and thoughts on how I had been treated, and the list of failures you failed to addressed. He was dismissive and unhelpful and ultimately could not wait to get me off the telephone. He stated he would raise my concerns with customer care.

I never heard anything back since! No contact from any of your colleagues whatsoever.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
THEY ARE A BROKER. THEY DO NOT CARE WHO THEY GET TO TRAIN YOU.
They got me to meet some instructor from one of their training providers (complete hgv training) he didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Didn’t even know how to set up the reverse. Wasted my time completely. The staff aren’t great I didn’t receive the full amount of training hours and was refused any money back had to come back extra days as the truck broke down and had to take extra days off work which I wasn’t reimbursed for either. Was told no way of getting anything not even some money back for the training hours I paid for and didn’t receive. Complete Mickey Mouse, money grabbing company, I only passed coz I knew how to drive already and had to watch the reverse on YouTube coz the instructors hadn’t a clue.

I highly recommend Surrey Hampshire HGV, if any one thinking of entering into the Transport Industry, from start to finish, they assist all the way to the end. The driving instructors were great team too, very supportive. Thank you Rachael, Tom and Callum you got me through passed C and CE licence

A huge thank you to all the staff at Surrey & Hampshire HGV training for helping me feel at ease and confident during my 4 day course. An extra special thanks to Matt who is a great instructor with great insight and knowledge to back up his years of experience. I passed first time which is a testament to Matt’s great instruction. Towards to end of my training I must have been improving as Matt was quiet for at least 3 minutes. In summary highly recommended *
