Right from the beginning, when I was making enquiries about courses, I was made to feel welcome and relaxed. Becoming a mature student frightened me, it was nearly 30 years since I qualified as a hairdresser and I hadn't been back to college since. When I had my interview and tour of the facilities any fear that I had dissipated and I decided that I would sign up to my chosen level 3 nail technology course. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the 15 week course. My tutor, Lauren, although quite a bit younger than myself, treated me as an equal and showed patience and understanding throughout. After qualifying as a nail technician in August 2017 I decided i would like to go back to White rose and signed up to do level 2 beauty therapy. I started the 30 week course in September 2017 and am half way through it, I love it. I look forward to going every week, partly because I have a new found thirst for learning and partly because the college and all staff are fantastic. They are helpful in all aspects, whether it's college related, course related or personal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend White Rose to anyone who is looking for a career in Beauty.

Fantastic college! I did my first course over the summer on Level 3 fashion and photographic Makeup with Vicki, she is an amazingly talented and informative tutor. We covered lots of different looks to go into the industry to which I have just secured a job as a Makeup artist in a photography studio! I have also started the Level 2 nail technicians course and I look forward to pursuing further courses after this one. All the staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities at Barnsley are wonderful, it is a clean and tidy building and I am proud to be part of White Rose ❤️. Many thanks, Laura.

I've been with White Rose twice now over the years and have had an excellent experience both times. Very different from the last. Always feeling welcome and comfortable by the staff and come away both times with great knowledge and confidence to work out in industry. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to further there education. Already looking at another course.

I have just completed two level 3 courses at White Rose in Barnsley. I've thoroughly enjoyed both courses and I would love to go back should anything arise!
The staff are very supportive, push you to achieve and they are always there to advise you no matter what you ask.
Vicky, the Make Up tutor is an absolute inspiration and a pleasure to be around. Her kind and helpful manner makes you feel at ease but her knowledge of Make Up will blow you away! I'm a mature student and was a little hesitant to go back to studying however White Rose made it easy for me to decide to go back to study and I wouldn't hesitate to go back and do something else if the perfect course comes along. Thank you to each and every tutor for everything you've done. You make such a difference without really realising it. See you all again soon hopefully. xxxx

I have just spent 10 weeks at white rose and can honestly say I have thoroughly enjoyed every second, Sarah Padgett was my comps tutor & was so nice she made me feel at ease being back in a classroom as this is the first thing I have done for myself since having my children. She made lessons fun and put my mind at ease regarding my assignments. I would love to return and enrol in other courses. Thank you for helping me open my eyes and see what my future can hold it’s been a pleasure 🙂

I studied here to gain my VTCT Level 3 Complementary Therapy qualification and would highly recommend to anyone. The course was well structured and always taught at an appropriate level of challenge. The staff are friendly, approachable and really take the time to fully support you. I loved my time here and am looking forward to further training here in the future.

I have just completed level 2 and 3 beauty therapy and would like to say a big thankyou to the staff for giving me help support and guidance throughout the courses. At the age off 55, a mature student, it was a little daunting for me entering the world of education and being surrounded by girls much younger than myself, I felt apprehensive. As soon as I walked through the college doors I was made to feel welcome and no different to anyone else. They gave me the cofidence and belief that I could do it. And I did! And I will be eternally grateful, whiterose is a fantastic place to learn not only your chosen course but about yourself, I can't recommend this college enough. They truly deserve outstanding! X
