If you want to become a better more confident ride I highly recommend booking some coaching with Tony at UK bike skills, his knowledge and teachings had us jumping higher and further, riding berms faster /more controlled and sending drops smoother and with more confident....we will definitely be making the long drive from Leeds again thats for sure. Cheers Tony ✊🏻

Tony, thanks for a really good days coaching. I wanted to improve my technique and develop the skills to better attempt keeping up with my son. Henry wanted to take his riding to the next level. You absolutely delivered on both counts, we both learnt loads. I've done jumps that I never thought I'd be running and Henry came back buzzing!
I'm sure we'll be back

Had a great day with Tony! No wonder he is called The Jedi. He is a great teacher and finding ways to progress your skills without you realising. He is very supportive and explaining the why vs just the what. Using very simple terminology and breaking things down into manageable sub-steps and tweaks. On my first day there ended up clearing a 4 ft table top, I definitely wouldn't have said I'd have been able to do that at the start of the day. Definitely coming back!

Was on a group session. Amazing. Best investment you can make. Tony is a pleasure, he guides you actionable tips that allow you to progress as quick as your capable to. Who doesn't want to do jumps and drops?! I managed gap jumps which have always been a head mess for me. Highly recommended.

I started MTB 5 months ago having ridden a road bike for many years. I achieved all that I wanted to on the day and took away of foundation on which to progress, with safety. Tony is an exceptional coach, dispelling a lot of the myths and advice you can receive from other channels.

The bike park is very impressive and I’m sure there is lots of everyone, even the most advanced.
Above all else, great fun
In summary: try it out, I think you won’t regret it.

What a fantastic day! Tony couldn't have been better with two 13 year old boys. The perfect balance of sharing expert knowledge, whilst making it relaxed and good fun.

I've been coached by Tony a few times over the years. This is probably my forth or fifth visit, but my first time on a public course. As always, Tony breaks everything down to a level where I find myself wondering why I need coaching at all, it's all so obvious and logical (right after it's been explained).

For those of you who don't know, Tony's nickname is "Jedi". This has come about because of the mind tricks he plays on you. The funny thing is, I've experienced this several time, to the point where I'm expecting it, but it still works like it did on day one.

I was happily sailing over a tabletop jump with the rest of the group. Tony mentioned the adjacent gap jump but I continued with what I was doing. Next pass behind him and he mentioned the gap jump to me but in a different way. Next thing you know, I'm sailing over the gap like it was nothing.

There are a lot of coaches out there and I'e ridden with several. A lot of them seem to be teaching in contrast to the way Tony does and it makes things a lot harder. I really like the simple and effective methods employed at UK Bike Skills. I'll certainly be back for another session and hopefully not leave it as long next time.

One last thought to leave you with, a lot of coaches seem to quantify themselves on what they're achieved but what's really important is what they can do for your riding. My advice is go and learn with the man who teaches blind people to jump mountain bikes!

Spent a brilliant day with Tony at UK Bike Skills, within minutes he’d spotted errors in my riding technique and was helping me understand how to correct them using the features at his facility which are perfect for progression and learning. His ability to distill information down to make it understandable and applicable to your riding is second to none. Already looking forward to returning for a follow up session once I’ve had a bit of time to practice all the things learned this time around.
I’d recommend Tony to any rider who wants to improve their skills and have a great time in the process.

Go up
