I applied for my refund before issuance of CAS. With all grievances I am here that official time period of refund was 6 weeks and still I got nothing. Not a single professional person from the university staff is coming in touch with me to deliver my grievances. If I send mail, I got response of 4 weeks. What is this? Is this called university?

A stark *WARNING* to any decent individual who is thinking about even enquiring at this place: AVOID ENROLLING, NO MATTER WHAT! DO NOT SUBJECT YOURSELF TO WASTING ANY OF YOUR PRECIOUS TIME, ENERGY, FINANCES, COMMITMENT AND POTENTIAL AT THIS INCREDIBLY INSIDIOUS INSTITUTION.

This place has been intentionally and viciously designed to cater only to the worst of humanity and it is only those specimens who will benefit; it’s really not worthy of its ranking in the top Universities guide and has to be rigged.

Just some of many, ongoing, unaddressed flaws include (in-no-particular-order):

> too much wrong and nothing works
> slow/no responses
> widening disparities
> inadequate support for marginalised students
> undisciplined bullying and harassment across campus
> questionable staff
> additional support not provided in the timeframe required
> false marketing
> no action from lecturers when they see and hear racism or other forms of unacceptable behaviours within their seminars
> no suspension of abusive students
> immediate suspension of students who dare to stand up for themselves in difficult situations
> failure to liaise with SFE to ensure students’ income per term is tailored to their individual circumstances
> boring and time consuming seminars which provide no real value or preparation for assignments or examinations
> allowing students of their twisted preference to waltz into the seminars extremely late (frequently) at whichever hour they please, to abuse other students, to spread vitriol, to dodge any punishment
> corrupt strategies used by twisted management
> the student support fund is not made straightforward to apply for and they deny it those who really need the paymen during severe hardship
> mistreatment of learners with any form of disadvantage ie disabilities, additional needs, estrangement, visible differences, ethnic minority status, financial barriers
> aggressive and inappropriate library security in their 24 hour library who have no training in basic communication skills or disability awareness
> no tolerance of individuals or groups who don’t look like the traditional student or staff members
> frequent rule breakers in areas such as the silent area in the silent area which the library staff on duty do not monitor nor challenge
> they want to rebrand to the University of Greater Manchester so that apparently it’ll benefit the town as a whole when what they ought to be prioritising the fixing of their evidently broken infrastructures and ensuring that existing students are getting their money’s worth ie a great higher education that fully prepares them for a fantastic career
> dropouts, broken office chairs, grumpy catering staff, lecturers waiting outside locked yet booked rooms with their students; childish behaviour by individuals who are all adults ; it’s like a comedy show
> cancellations with no valid reasons
> some of their graduates can barely string together a sentence in standard British English yet they somehow hold PHDs
> dangerous criminals allowed onto campus
> no respect for consent and confidentiality
> regularly compromises on basic
> a very depressing atmosphere with people of a backwards mentality
> failure to provide a safe, inclusive, equitable, nurturing and exciting learner environment for genuine learners to excel within or to develop their professional career
> deeply damaging for the overall well-being of vulnerable individuals
> immature staff and students who fail to demonstrate that this is supposed to be a higher education community
> respect from decent students is not reciprocated by the horrible staff

There is literally nothing and no one to praise within The University of Bolton.
If you choose to disobey my concerned warning, you will regret it.
On the other hand, you’ll thank me when the entire truth will surface about its grotesque governance, in time.

Life’s too fragile for grave mistakes; don’t study here, find somewhere morally good, enjoy your life, make good choices, be your best, shine your light and I’m sure you’ll be alright elsewhere.

Very underrated university. I’m in my second year now studying BA English (Hons) and the staff are incredibly. Really friendly and they know you on a personal level so they are constantly there to assist you. The courses are great and varied and they have all the top notch technology and resources you would expect from any university. 24/7 library is great for studying whenever you need too. All the students are lovely and there is a massive variety of different cultures and identities. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a University
