In April, me and my classmates spent two weeks in Vienna for a work experience based trip. The balance of work and leisure time was perfect, which I am sure everyone appreciated . Not to forget, the staff we travelled with were really relaxed, giving us plenty of free time and treating us like adults, which made the experience even better. We enjoyed exploring the inner city with its beautiful infrastructure and lively streets. Personally, I really enjoyed going to the Rapid Vienna football match — the atmosphere there was electric, nothing compared to English football. Overall, it was a memorable trip with just the right balance of work and downtime, I would recommend the Turing trip to anybody who has the opportunity.

My first year was great, head of year and other tutors left halfway through the year though, got left with no one for a while and it went downhill from there. Terrible experience and new head of year (Lynsey)is rude, talks over you and likes to hear her own voice- had 2 meetings with her and didn’t get anywhere with it. Have dropped out due to terrible experience and others have also done so- there is now only 1 person on that course and it’s still going. The new tutor doesn’t know much and just says she’ll have to read from her notes, one time she left us by ourselves and said “do that yourselves, I want to see the first years getting shouted at”. Because they had been giving her a hard time. And very professional as a tutor being called a bully for making a first year burst into tears, as I was also informed by her previous work place colleagues as she was bullying them also. To add on to this, my coursework got lost- because of them(an invigilator) had a meeting with them about it, I practically just got called a liar and got given a u. Got to the point where my dad just stormed out because of this.I’m only saying this as an experienced second year. Glad I left. After this, still haven’t gotten a call, if they want my number then they can message me in teams or email me.

I started a maths course in September. I was asked if had any disability. I had said yes to anxiety, depression, dyslexia and dyspraxia.

It is now nearly december I haven't received any help from the learners support program.

They had also said a councilor has was meant to get in touch, which haven't heard anything about. Which is a service that is offered.

I have been in numerous times in regards to this, in person and on the phone.

I got palmed of with a lady on the front desk I watched her message on Snapchat and said they would be in touch.

Very unprofessional. If that's the way decide to communicate throughout the college 🙄

Thank you to Amanda who has worked hard in trying to secure my son an apprenticeship and Matt for all the support and hard work he put into him to achieve one. Thanks to Matt who kindly supported him from his level 2 right up to the completion of his Level 3. Matt and Amanda was always available anytime I rang and it was Matts teachings and support that got him through his practical and theory.

Thank you to all have helped at the college in supporting my son in securing a good start to his future career, I know that the college put everything into all students and give a 100% to those who want to be successful !!.

I would very much recommend it to anyone who has the opportunity and interest to join this college. This year I completed my level 2 IT course here at West Lancashire college and I'm very happy to recommend it to anyone who is interested. The lecturers really value the hard work of their students and do everything they can to help us gain the knowledge and degree we want. The college makes use of Microsoft Teams as a platform for contacting and sharing work on subjects taught throughout the school term. This facilitates contact between students and teachers in an exceptional way. Whenever I needed support, I always had the contact details of the teachers I needed on my course where I could ask questions and receive support whenever possible and necessary. It's been a great year here, I've had a lot of fun and I've been treated very well despite my differences because I'm a foreigner, in my opinion and experience here at this college I can certainly say that it's 5 stars.

This college really does care about your well-being. They help you in ways I couldn't imagine. I did carpentry and joinery at this college and it was the best college experience I could've asked for. I passed everything with the help of my tutors and they help you decide your future. They have a great team for any problem you may have and will make sure you are safe, mentally healthy, physically healthy whilst they help you learn and develop your knowledge on the course you choose.

Great college with lots of courses, opportunities to develop new skills, and plenty of progression options. I improved and developed both existing and new skills, like web development and video editing. There are plenty of nearby places to get lunch too. As a student who goes here, highly recommended!
