This ancient, isolated chapel is literally in the middle of a field down a lane. Not far from the Acton Burnell Castle (ruins) and St Mary's church, war memorial and cemetery which are all together.

A cracking old chapel on the care of English Heritage. It was built during the parliamentarian times , and shows all the traits of puritanical fashion. Certainly worth a look if you are passing. Parking is very limited

Lovely little chapel tucked away in what feels the middle of nowhere, well kept, smashing atmosphere, highly recommend a visit, very photogenic place too 🙂

Quite a small chapel. There’s a lock at the door but it’s usually unlocked. Wooden pews inside are originals from the 16th to 17th century

Free to enter, with little parking in the lane, this remote 14th century chapel is famed for it's early 17th interior. Musicians benches, ornate box pews and roofed reading desk are all present giving you a taste of what churches were like just after the Reformation in the 16th century. This is well worth visiting and is included in a circular walk from Acton Burnell Castle.

Beautiful chapel built some time in the middle ages to service the nearby Langley Hall. Original features from the 17th century, an interesting curios hidden away down Shropshire back lanes. We stopped for lunch on a very wet hike

This is a nice little chapel. Crops on the doorstep. Free to park and free to enter. Very peaceful place.

Very small out of the way place unfortunately it was locked so couldn't enter and see the unusual boxed in pews but if your passing well worth stopping and having a look
