I would fully recommend anyone who wants to get into teaching to take this course. Just look at the top ten schools in the Leicester and Leicestershire area and you will find SCITT is in partnership with nearly all of them! The training provided is such high quality, you are always supported throughout and real care is taken when deciding your placements. There are no boring lectures in this course (something you might find at leic uni pgce!) every class is like a seminar with lots of discussion and practical activities.

I trained with SCITT last year. I would recommend to anyone considering primary teaching. The management and tutors are brilliant and work in schools. The course has a small cohort so training has a personal feel. Great placement schools and tutors in schools too!

I'm currently on the Leicester and Leicestershire SCITT and I couldn't recommend it highly enough. It's an excellent course and all of the tutors are constantly going out of their way to do anything they can do to help you. We are given the opportunity to et really stuck in and spend a lot more time working with children in schools. All of the trainers are people working closely within the local area and helping schools to keep their standards high which means we're all getting the best of the best training. I couldn't imagine going down any other route!

I have just completed my initial teacher training with the SCITT and I can honestly say that the course and the tutors are amazing. The friendly and supportive atmosphere is a refreshing change from traditional PGCE routes as the tutors are able to get to know each trainee and tailor the advice and guidance to the individual's development needs. If you are looking for an early primary or primary teacher training course, look no further!

I just had to send a quick email to commend you on the entire SCITT course that you run. I always knew it would be the most suitable teacher training course for me, but now I have attended my first of ten NQT Induction training sessions, it puts it into perspective even more. I am the only one of the eight NQTs in my trust that feels they have covered the content of this course in our teacher training. I have come out of the SCITT fully prepared, not only as an NQT, but for the full roles and responsibilities of a teacher.
Nothing has been a shock to me, I feel well organised, well supported and have even managed to establish that all important work/life balance!

SCITT give you the opportunities to teach and observe teaching in so many different types of schools. The support from all of the tutors is excellent so you never feel like you're on your own with any part of the course! I'm so glad I left customer service to join the Leicester & Leicestershire SCITT!
