Like many others have noted, the rooms at the Hilton Leicester are definitely showing their age. My room was spotlessly clean, but there’s no denying that the decor is dated – and the bathroom in particular could really use a refresh. The area around the toilet looked especially tired, and you can tell it’s been well-used over the years.||That said, for me there are three critical things that make a stay worthwhile – and the Hilton Leicester delivers where it really matters.||Firstly, the staff. They’ve always been friendly and helpful every time I’ve stayed, and this visit was no exception. You genuinely feel welcomed here, and that level of hospitality counts for a lot.||Secondly, the bed was really comfy. I got a fantastic night’s sleep – and I’m one of those people who’s dead to the world once I’m out, so unless there’s something catastrophic happening, I’m not likely to notice. Still, peace and quiet in a comfy bed? That’s what I come for.||Thirdly, and importantly, I understand the hotel is due for some investment soon and will be moving under the DoubleTree portfolio. That’s great news – this place has a solid foundation, and with a refresh, it’ll be even better.||Despite the dated décor, I’ll 100% keep coming back. The Hilton hospitality is second to none – and I’m looking forward to seeing the improvements in the future.

This Hotel needs a full referb or just close it down completely!!! This isn't a 'Hilton' hotel. Very old fashioned. Poor quality furnishings. You can hear voices from the following rooms. The food was 0/10. Poor menu. I would not stay here again. Staff are attentive but the entire building is letting them down.

I bought a group of 45 delegates to the hotel this Spring and we had a fantastic experience. From liaising with the bookings team beforehand to the food and beverage team members during our trip, all the staff were beyond helpful, incredibly polite and really helped our trip to run smoothly. ||The rooms were spacious, well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel each night which was excellent, always hot and served in a timely manner. The several allergies and intolerances within our group were handled with ease too.||The staff were very accommodating too, and were able to handle all of our requests with gracious smiles and a willing attitude - thank you for enabling our trip to run so smoothly.

Do not stay here. Seriously - book anywhere else.

The staff were great and as helpful as they could be. But the room was unusable.

There's zero air vents in the room, so you rely on the window that opens no more than a centimeter or two for air. And on a hot day, the room is unbearably hot. Not warm, not a bit hot - unbearably hot. It's not like there's a thermostat that doesn't work well, there's nothing.

They offered a fan, and suggested another room. But it's just not worth it. I really don't blame the staff - they did everything they could to help, but this hotel needs knocking down and starting again with modern hotel infrastructure.

Hilton hotels are generally disappointing, but this was something else. I'm surprised Hilton let them keep using the name.

I got a refund and checked in to the wonderful hotel at the other side of the junction. I suggest you do the same.

It was exactly as we expected, now luxurious but good as a base. Obviously in need of refurbishment but the bedroom was large, clean and with comfortable bed. We had dinner in the restaurant and food was decent and breakfast had a good range of foods. All the hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite

Shocking experience, the worst experience I have ever had with Hilton. I booked Leicester Hilton for 30th May 2025 night. I called the day before the night I stayed to arrange for a travel cot for my 1 year old, and I was told it would be sorted no problem. I came to the hotel almost 11pm and they did not prepare any travel cot. I then went to the reception, and asked for one, they said it would be ready soon. My 1 year old was so sleepy and I felt so bad about it. After waiting in my hotel room and nothing happened, I went to the reception, and asked the staff to prepare one, again, they said there may not be one!!! And the manager aggressively said it’s school holiday, and kids are still using them, so there may be nothing left, and there is nothing they can do!!! They then came in with a number of broken travel cot, how on earth I will allow my 1 year old to stay in this!!! Can you believe this is Hilton, 4 star hotel!!! Never say never but I will never stay in this hotel again!!! Can someone from Hilton explain where your standard is, not asking 4 star hotel standard but basic human right!!!

This is the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in a room on the 200 hallway and the smell reeked of a very strong fish order. When we first entered the room, there were very noticeable, nasty stains all over the carpet. There was hair all over the bed which let us know fresh linen was not provided. The bathroom was not cleaned. The desk had sticky drink spots all over it. The room was completely unacceptable and I’ll never stay at this hotel ever again.

I was quite disappointed if I'm honest. The Hilton Group used to be quite prestigious hotels but they are not now, or this one wasn't, at all. I thought the rooms were tired and needed updating and modernising. Even the corridors and carpet needed updating. We had no hand-wash in the basin dispenser, the door was too wide for the small mere size of the bathroom and it needed updating, very badly. No mirror in the bedroom so impossible to see what my hair looked like when I dried it. No complimentary biscuits and no fridge. When I visited the steam room in the eve there were 2 children aged 6 and 8 in there, not what I expected who then went in the hot tub. Both are not for children. The swimming pool was noisy. When in hot tub, a member of the LW Health Club who told me his membership price, told me that the hotel has many immigrants staying there who are allowed to use the pool and facilities, omg, I was horrified. He said recently it is always noisy and rammed full,not good. I had thought it would have been alot better, very disappointed 😞.
