Tommy Flowers SCITT is an excellent option for any aspiring teacher looking for a route into gaining valuable face to face classroom experience alongside a training programme, based on the latest and robust research, that fully supports and develops trainees for their first teaching post. Not only has our school enjoyed many years of providing placements for trainees but we have fully benefitted from appointing teachers who have succeeded on the Tommy Flowers pathway who are of the highest quality, fully equipped to begin a successful career in teaching. I have no reservations recommending this route into teaching, should you choose this as yours, be rest assured you will be fully supported by the SCITT and by well trained mentors working in schools.

From my first contact with Tommy Flowers during the application process, I was impressed with their professionalism and their supportive approach and could see that they had well-established relationships with their partner schools. Choosing Tommy Flowers over other providers was an easy decision and I am very pleased that I did. The training has been excellent; wide-ranging and integrating the latest evidence-based research into teaching methods and delivered by subject-matter experts. The administration of the programme is first class. Training to teach is demanding and I have been encouraged and supported by Tommy Flowers' staff every step of the way. The visits they have made to observe me teach in my placement school were well planned, focused and the feedback I received has been very helpful to my development as a teacher. It is thanks to the staff at Tommy Flowers that I feel ready for the challenge of my first teaching position in September. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to embark on training to teach.

For me, the most important responsibilities of a teacher training provider are to deliver high quality training and to provide comprehensive support. The Tommy Flowers SCITT has exceeded my expectations in both. The partnership is exceptionally well organised and effective communication ensures that trainees are always kept up to date and expectations are clear. Training sessions are not only relevant and engaging, but they provide us with the strategies and knowledge we need to improve and develop our teaching. Tom and Jo have a genuine interest in the wellbeing of their trainees and consistently look for additional ways to support us. I am thoroughly enjoying my training and feel really proud to be a part of Tommy Flowers. I would recommend the SCITT to anyone wanting to teach in Milton Keynes.
