Manchester Dogs Trust is just fantastic.
Having lost our last 2 furbabies over the last 5 years, we've really missed having a dog to love and be with the children and us. I signed up to many rescues but kept hitting a wall because they won't allow any dogs to come to a house with a child under 5 years or more.
I signed up with the dogs' trust and was immediately impressed with the information made available online from the word go. There were real explanations as to why some dogs couldn't come to a house with children/ young children and other dogs i was allowed to apply for, and they would look at all applicants.
I wasn't necessarily looking for a puppy and was happy to rehome any, preferably a staffie cross as we have experience with them and adore them.
One evening, I took a call, and it was the trust asking if I was still looking to rehome. When I said yes, they told me they had a surrendered litter of staffie puppies. I was absolutely beside myself with utter joy.
The whole process was so smooth and organised. Call on Wednesday, visited the puppy on Saturday, and after being accepted, we took her home on Monday.
We were given loads of information and discussed lots of things, the fees were explained, the contract was explained, and the obligation for training the pup, vet checks, and spaying. The Trust will help pay any fees towards the spaying if needed or free if we take the pup back to her original vet. We have had follow-up calls to check on Pup and us and offer any advice and support. The training class organiser called to discuss needs and book us in. It's been a whirlwind but faultless the whole way.
The care and love that all the trust staff have is so transparent, and It made me take a real shine to them and the care they offer the animals daily.
The centre is Mancheater is massive, having never been I didn't know what to expect. It's easy to get to and has a big car park available. There are animal handlers out all hours walking the dogs. Inside is clean, bright, and welcoming. Information is bold and bright, easy to read, and access from the walls and the tables. Staff on hand all the time to help.
Some of the dogs are available to see whilst in the centre as they have a run with transparent windows. It made me cry seeing so many in there, but I'm glad they are not on the streets alone.
I absolutely recommend visiting and rehoming from them, even attending the events to help with raising funds or dropping off surplus supplies for them to use or give away for donations.
This is just a wonderful place filled with love and endless commitment ❤️
We are in their debt for allowing us to have our gorgeous girl in our home.

Been here with my dog shadow on a puppy training course...really enjoyed the course and the instructors are great. Learning ways to make your beloved pet learn the basic obedience skills.. well worth doing ...and if your looking for a new pet then visit the kennels next door...rehome a animal

Went today to drop some old towels off for the dogs. Was invited to have a look around by a lovely staff member who was so grateful for the donation. What a lovely place and so big. Was very impressed by the kennels and all the dogs looked very well cared for. Please donate to this fantastic dogs home

What a fantastic setup. Georgia was just amazing and made the process of adopting our dog really enjoyable and straight forward. Loads of information and support was given ahead of the new dog arriving at his new home. The staff ensure the dogs properly match their new homes. I'm just so impressed by this dogs home, the staff... and our new family pooch!

Denton dogs trust are absolutely amazing. We lost our beloved 13 year old staffy just before Xmas. Somehow we came across Prada a beautiful American bulldog. She was very nervous and needed the perfect home.. we are so delighted to be adopting this very special girl.. she now has a home for life where before it was likely she wouldn't be removed. Thank you all so very much x

We got my grandad a dog from here, this place is spotless and when we were visiting the dogs had opera playing to them on a radio to keep them calm. Such a brilliant place for the animals and it's amazing what they do to make the dogs feel at home. Annie the dog brought my grandad immense comfort in his final years

Was disappointed with this place nice staff but couldn't take my dog which I'd saved from a breeder maybe in a month's time but short staffed not enough kennels went to another rescue centre who accepted her and she had new home within 36 hours I understood they never turn a dog away but that was my experience can only say what happened in my case
