Nice course in good upkeep. Greens are nice rolling and in very nice condition.
The course is on a small footprint and compact, so it was tight off the tee. If you're wayward of the tee, you'll get a punishing score. I played the majority of hole with a 6 iron and then a pitch in of 150 - 70 yrd.
There are some tees that cross over fairways or over greens.
A bit hilly, too, with some blind tee shots.
Overall, it was a nice kept course with friendly members and staff.
Tight and compact layout wasn't really to my preference. So I've marked it down to 4 just for my personal preference. Very nice course we'll presented.

Held our funeral wake on Friday for my father in law..
Prestwich staff were superb and very attentive and the food was excellent and reasonable.
Can highly recommend for any type of venue hire

Never played a golf course like it. Extremely tricky , very tranquil and scenic and good on the eye. Very good condition for this time of year. Will 100% go back

A lovely golf course and very challenging, not long, but very tricky, you have to be very straight or you are in trouble. A 180 yd club will be perfect for most holes as the fairways will do the rest. Majority of bunkers are GUR but the greens are very good. Gentlemen called Paul in the pro shop was an absolute gentlemen and pleasure to meet, he could not do enough for me. I will be revisiting.

Born and bred on this golf course, cannot reckonise any hole having said that it was 60 yrs ago. It was 1964 when I became a junior member...many famous faces I remember from coronation Street cast especially Eddie Shah who famously started up his own tabloid. Those were happy days and Eddie if you're still out there, give us a bell cos when you missed your shot on the seventh hole and you threw your brand new aluminum shafts into the tree, I didn't think you would go back a climb a tree at ur age

Great place I don't have a membership but I take my daughter to practice most golfers don't mind they see a dad teaching his daughter but then you get the grumps old ones who kick us off haha
