Nice leisure centre but there is no spa female only and no gym female only. That is a shame for women who want to feel comfortable while working out.
Also, the women only swimming sessions is too late for working ladies. It would be better to have them around 6 or 7pm. I know that there are some woman / teenager swimming sessions at that time but these sessions do not allow to swim peacefully.

Decent centre that caters to the community. I do want to say that although it's nice to offer one or two women only sessions as bonus for a select few it is creating a two tier system at this point. I am a paying member and should be able to access a comparable number of classes and swim sessions, particularly in prime time. It's especially frustrating when a whole evening is blocked out for women's only classes monday and friday. This shouldn't be the case, especially when eg. on a Monday night, the gym is overcrowded. On top of this the range of mixed classes aren't typically classes that men are as into anyway - zumba, yoga, 'bums and tums'. Down the road in longsight they have a separate, beautifully equipped and incredibly quiet women's only Better GLL gym, and you can do free classes on the better app. There could also be the choice to pay instructors directly and hire spaces there for those select few that are demanding it! It would be great to see a better balance of value acheived for all paying members.

Decent place. Today was my first time, but the swimming pool used for women's swimming session was very small for the number of peopld booked. It's a shame as the pool was crowded & that affected the experience. I hope more women only sessions are added to accommodate the current demand. I checked the better website and there are currently 2 sessions a week: Fridays & Mondays only.

On my first visit I was greeted very friendly and in a helpful and welcoming manner.
Relatively small gym and pool, but not too busy.
Later they only confirmed my initial perception, with kind greetings and being very accommodating!

Lovely place, but lots of delinquents hanging outside. Often school children causing scenes because seemingly they have nowhere to actually hang out. Be wonderful if they actually went inside and learned something from one of the many books on the shelves. Aside from the odd child with his shirt unbuttoned trying to get into a scrap over a girl who has 20 missed calls from her dad at 4-6 in the evening, not bad at all. Nice library, nice facilities, nice gym, nice pool.

I had a very frustrating experience at the swimming pool recently. The shower cubicles were all occupied, not because people were showering, but because they were using them to change clothes. This led to a long wait for everyone else who just needed a quick shower after swimming.

When I politely knocked on the doors to ask if they could hurry up, one of the ladies inside started shouting at me, saying she had the right to take her time changing in the shower. Despite the fact that changing cubicles are available for this exact purpose, she insisted on using the shower cubicle instead, causing unnecessary delays and frustration for others.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and it's clear that better enforcement of the rules is needed. Management should ensure that people use the shower cubicles for showering only, and change in the appropriate areas. Or maybe they should consider taking off the doors from the shower cubicles, which will not allow enough privacy to change clothes.
It’s not fair to the rest of us who are just trying to use the facilities as they’re intended.

Until these issues are addressed, I would recommend considering other pools where the facilities are better managed.
