I had an incredible time at EF Manchester! From the very first day, the staff and teachers were super welcoming and always ready to help. The classes are interactive and engaging, making learning English fun and effective.

The school is located in a great area, close to the city center, and offers a perfect environment for studying and meeting new people from all over the world. The activities organized by EF were fantastic, allowing us to explore Manchester and make unforgettable memories.

Good morning everyone
It was a good experience.
Manchester is a city full of surprises.
The people were very kind.
So what about school?
it is very organized and offers a lot of side activities.
Personally I would have preferred to be introduced at a lower level. Unfortunately my knowledge of the language is poor and the lessons were often incomprehensible to me.
I would like to repeat the experience but starting from a more comfortable level and then improving it later

My experience with EF was truly incredible! I had the opportunity to make amazing friendships that I know will last a lifetime. The social and cultural aspects of the program enriched my journey and made it unforgettable.

However, I don’t feel I progressed significantly in terms of learning new concepts or advancing my level. That said, I did get a lot of practice, which helped me gain confidence in using the language in real-life situations.

Overall, EF provided me with valuable life experiences, great memories, and plenty of English practice.

Such an unforgettable experience I had in this lovely school, I spent a whole year in EF Manchester, 48 weeks of studying enjoying and learning new things, made lovely and interesting lifelong friendships, my time at EF Manchester wasn’t just a linguistic experience; it was a life experience, the wonderful and inspiring staff were not just people who were doing their jobs, they were my friends my family during my time there, my friends who I met there were not just a classmates, they were also my family the boost that kept me motivated and through my time there. I’ll stop now rambling about how emotionally my experience was before I get emotional myself hahahaha, it’s was an amazing experience that can not be contained in words.
My main goal of coming to EF Manchester was to improve my English of course, and EF with their professional staff made that happen, the classes are diverse and dynamic, their learning materials will help you as a student to achieve your goals in learning the language.
Another thing that would make your experience more interesting and enjoyable it’s the activities that EF provides for the students, daily short-period activities that will fill your day joy and lessons, they also provide long-period activities; trips to new destinations and cities imbued with interesting and inspiring experiences.
Eventually I want to thank all the staff and teachers who made this experience perfect, starting from Moustafa in the front desk, and Morgan from the students service and Daniel from the activity office also Tomas in the academic office and of course Megan the wonderful person who were very patient with me and kept me motivated, and I also want to thank the great and inspiring teachers, the lovely Shahida and Mark, Amy, Sean, Sunny, Andy, and the amazing lovely teacher Erin, and last but not least not least the best teacher I’ve ever had Ellie.
I can proudly say now after the experience I became a Mancunian.
Thank you again everyone I’ll not forget you or the time I spent with you, see you soon somewhere in this world. ♥️

I studied in Manchester this summer.
It was an amazing experience, I have learned a lot. The teachers are very nice and helpful, I have improved a lot thanks to them. I met wonderful people and made new friends and we are still keep in touch months after I left.
I truly appreciate the lessons as well as the activities and I really miss my time there.
My host family is really wonderful, I was very confortable and I am planning to visit them next year.

The people that I met were what made this trip unforgettable. I also want to thank my teacher Mark for constantly keeping us entertained and motivated during our lessons.
HOWEVER, would I travel with EF again? No and especially not for the amount of money that I ended up paying. Generally speaking, I hardly see what exactly I payed almost 2000 Euros for. Prior to me going there I asked several questions that have been answers with “you have nothing to worry about”. What I ended up with was a host family, who’s house is the opposite of clean and tidy (my second one being 1,5 hours away from school despite the staff promising is that it would only take a maximum of one hour to get to school), a staff that told me to go to the reception to book a taxi and said reception told it wouldn’t be possible, and a horrendous attempt to make us give them a good score in the survey by telling us that if we give a score 6 we might as well give them 0. For that alone, I should’ve given them a 0. I think a serious company many years of experience shouldn’t feel the need to be so desperate for a good score. And I was by far not alone with these issues. Several of the people there have told me exactly the same. To add up to the negative, my host family complained about the tiny bit of money that they get from them. ONLY the food costs were covered and not anything like maybe electricity, water or heat.

To summarize, lessons 5/5, food 5/5, service staff 2/5, host family business 1/5.

1. In the beginning the course did not meet my objectives because my level was not appropriate, only after 3 weeks I was able to move to a level more suited to my needs, with people of a suitable age and with the emphases I had chosen in the intensive course.
2. The number of students is more than 8 per class, we had classes with more than 18 people, which made learning difficult.
3. As for the teachers, some of them met the expectations like Shaida and Soung, but some other classes were very routine without dynamics.
4. As for the house where I lived, Mrs Angela Otawa, very special, human, caring, attentive, neat, she allowed me to cook, helped me in my medical situations, but the house is very far away, about 1.5 hours each way, given that you have to enter the city centre, the transport frequencies change and do not favour the class schedules.
5. When I reported that I was in a complicated situation due to a medication that had an adverse effect on my health, as well as some mental health situations that contributed to my decision to return to the country, this made me feel alone and unprotected, I had to go to a public hospital, I notified them by whatsapp and I did not get any support from the school. This makes me wonder if I made the right choice.
6.I presented the case of EF Colombia and I have not been able to get an appointment, nor a personal attention to validate options of refunding money and method of study,
