This was our second visit and even better than the first.

Room is great - super comfy beds and choice of pillows.

Bathroom is perfect with a really good shower and toiletries.

Good soundproofing in rooms too - didn't hear a thing!

But start your holiday off in a great way with dinner in their restaurant - We had the Turkish menu and shared an array of really tasty, authentic dishes. Service in the bar/restaurant was very friendly.

Highly recommend it.

Booked again for our next trip.

So holidaying again meant a stay at this hotel as we had a Transatlantic flight the next day and wanted rest beforehand. We booked an upgraded premium room for this stay with the promise that we would have more space, a suitable bed for the little one and access to some drinks in our room. Well, on arrival we were checked in no problem, went to the room and it was exactly the same as any other that isn’t classed as premium. The bed for the little one was a sofa bed with a hard base again as we had this the last experience we had at this hotel, with a sheet put over the top of it. There was two wine cans, 2 cans of water, some beer, cans of coke and two chocolate biscuits. Hardly an upgraded drinks package. There was a shortage of cups in the room we had to ring down for someone to bring some up. I didn’t feel it was worth the extra money as it is no different apart from having some drinks thrown in. Space is limited but on the whole it is clean. We slept ok well the adults did the child made the best of what he was given. We dined in the restaurant downstairs the night before and ate from the Turkish menu again a lot of money for average food. Bit of a rip off if being honest. The next morning we had a breakfast downstairs and this was ok. Plenty of options for food and helped to save money on airport costs. This place is a point before travel but I feel the comfort could be looked into as people rely on a good nights sleep before any travel.

Overall the hotel itself was great. Room was excellent, beds were comfy, shower was great and powerful, reception was great but it was just lacking a few things that should be expected of an airport hotel.

1) the “grab and go” breakfast was very far from it. No take away bags, nothing easy to “grab” except pastries, extremely disappointing considering this was the main reason for us booking here (4am departure). It is a buffet breakfast with no easy options for take away. Some rolls to make up a sandwich, some ready made sandwiches, take away yoghurts etc would have been great, instead you are presented with the normal buffet breakfast and nothing to take it away in.

2) The family room (in our case we booked a Superior Queen with sofa bed) is possibly the furthest room away from the lifts. Normally not an issue at all but when travelling with an 11 month old and 3 suitcases, it would be nice to at least be close to the lifts and not the very end of the corridor. If there was a hotel trolley to put your bags in it would have been easier, however the 1 trolley I borrowed had a flat tyre which made it impossible to push.

3) Airport trolleys to hand would be a great addition. I understand people leave them strewn everywhere, they can be problematic and not easy to maintain but having them available and close by the international terminal would really help. Yes, it’s only a few minutes walk to the terminal to grab one and not overly a problem, but travelling alone as a single parent meant either leaving my son to grab one or struggling with everything.

Positives;

Staff were fantastic, food was great, room was clean, shower was powerful, drop off was easy, location was excellent, check in was seamless, beds were comfy.

Just a few, what some what consider small improvements, would really top it off and make some peoples stay a little more stress free.

We booked the Holiday Inn Manchester Airport as we had an early flight the next day. I changed our plans from staying at one of the other airport hotels as I wanted to avoid the "faff" of getting a transfer shuttle or extended walk - by staying at the Holiday Inn we were literally within a stones throw of departures (2 mins walk) - PERFECT !

Received a warm welcome and was checked in quickly. Lovely clean room and well equiped with modern large smart TV and comfy bedding and complementary water.

We decided to dine at the on-site "Firin" Turkish Resturant after booking using the Open Table app. The bar was busy for pre-drinks but we managed to locate a seat. We were seated quickly and ordering was efficient, with food arriving quickly. I opted for the Turkish pizza which was very tasty. 🤤

Worth noting that I had to ring and query my room type. I booked a standard room via the IHG app (being a club member) and noticed on the morning of our trip our room type had changed to a Twin (obvs wanted a double being with my other half 😜). I called to query and it was explained to me that the standard rooms are allocated on the day and could be either a twin or double. This was resolved quickly by allocating an accessible double with wet room shower etc.

All in all a great stay, and perfect for staying over if you have a morning flight from T2.

Excellent hotel. Tracey on reception for check in was fantastic. Easy access to all terminals. Great options for food, can also use ibis next door. Rooms clean and spacious for a family of 4. Rain fall shower with shampoo, conditioner and bodywash. White fluffy towels and complimentary cans of water in the room. Will be back.

We stay often at Manchester airport prior to early flights and normally at the Radisson. We took advice to try the very modern Holiday Inn and we were very impressed across the board. From check in to the bar and restaurant we had amazing service and topped by excellent food that was pipping hot and of an exceptional standard. Special thanks to Fernando who gave us excellent service and so attentive throughout our meal. The rooms are so well designed and everything is covered and rather than a quick pit stop prior to our flight, it actually enhanced our holiday and massive thanks to all the staff ...you guys rock and already booked for our next trip. Thank you 👍

Only using this hotel from now on. Worth every penny. Clean,comfy and modern rooms. Breakfast excellent. Every staff member polite and helpful. Really short walk to terminal 2. Minibar in room was included and two packs of crisps and kit kats. Top notch for a good price.

Very first stay and not bad. Fare size room plenty space for seating and bed nice, good size bathroom. God size bed and comfortable. Comes with little fridge. Lift didn’t work but didn’t matter just carried our luggage up the stairs. Clean and comfortable and not noisy at all. Would stay again.
