I came to North Manchester Family Martial Arts Prestwich in 2022, initially with my two children. My daughter, to help with her confidence and self esteem and my son, to help improve his focus and concentration.
After seeing how much they took it it and loved the classes, I took the plunge and got on the mats.
Fast forward to today- we are all first gups( red belts with two blue tabs and also two black) and coming towards our black belt assessments at the end of the year.
I would encourage anyone to give it a try, don’t let your fears or insecurities persuade you otherwise- You wont regret it! The instructors are all such wonderful people, they are your biggest support and want to see you thrive. Give it a try!

My son has been going to class for two years now and he loves it here. He is very happy with his teachers. He comes to class every day with interest. This is a very good institution for children of all ages. They register here. I am happy here. Everything is good.

I would highly recommend North Manchester Family Martial Arts Centre for anyone who is interested in learning or taking part. Myself and partner both joined not long after our Daughter who moved from a different martial arts school back in March 2024. Mr Ogden at the Middleton Centre made Mia's transition into Tang Soo Do so easy not only for Mia but both Mum and Dad that much so we both ended up joining in not long after. From myself I've ended up joining the groups Assistant instructor training to help give back to the teams efforts for helping us and others.

Couldn't ask for a better group of Instructors and it's great to meet new friends to go along your journey towards black belt and beyond!

This martial arts class is fantastic for building focus, listening skills, and confidence in children. The teacher is outstanding with the kids, making sure they are engaged and learning in a fun, supportive environment. My daughter has shown noticeable improvements in both discipline and self-assurance since starting the class. Highly recommend!

My son has attended the Prestwich Centre for 2 years now and has come on leaps and bounds. He really enjoys it and is now a red belt. The instructors are fab and the classes are geared towards self defence, keeping fit and building confidence. An excellent activity for all the family!

It’s been great for teaching him more about discipline and respect as well as the fact he’s having fun, doing exercise and making new friends at the same time. It’s also handy as you don’t have to pre-book the sessions and can just turn up. Highly recommend.
