I’ve just completed a 3 week Learn to Sew course and absolutely loved it. Charlotte is a great teacher - approachable, patient and answers all questions with a smile.

I was a complete beginner, just looking to try something new. Thanks to Charlotte I made a cushion and a pencil case that I am so proud of!

It was a nice small class (only 8 of us) so we got plenty of 1-to-1 support. Everyone there was lovely and friendly. It was such a lovely way to spend a Wednesday evening. I’m a bit sad it’s over! Will definitely be checking out other courses offered by Stitched Up.

StitchedUp's Wardrobe Surgery at Loreto College went really smoothly, from organising the workshop to delivering it. The students had a great time with it, and it sparked some very interesting and needed debate around the ethics/sustainability of fast fashion. We were also educated on different movements taking place regarding textiles and fashion, which has definitely inspired the students and myself.

Thanks again for the the great workshop πŸ™‚

Really recommend stiched up for their full day beginner workshop! The facilitators were very clear and always happy to answer questions- no question was too silly. The class members were a nice mix of people and had a calm atmosphere. The space itself is really nice overlooking the canal and seems like a real local community hub. Super happy with my pj bottoms- thank you!

Stitched Up delivered a Re Do Your Denim workshop as part of a wellbeing take over at Manchester Museum and visitors love it! The Stitched Up team were really warm, friendly and knowledgeable and the workshop was accessible for all levels of stitching. Great workshop to learn a new skill and get more wear out of your denim!

I've just completed a 6-week repair and upcycling course with Sara and Josie, which has been lots of useful fun. I've learned how to use a sewing machine and different embroidery techniques. I've left feeling more knowledgeable and confident and definitely keen to sign up for more workshops. There's something very special and comforting about being in a room with a bunch of women who are quietly dedicating a couple of hours to make beautiful work. I've found the sense of camaraderie, the communal and non-judgemental support very soothing. Thank you all for such a beautiful experience!

Incredible workshop ran by such wonderful facilitators. The young people we work with learnt so much and were given the space to think about how we might change the system to create cool items that also help the planet! 🌱

This is such a great place and the staff are fab! I have bought material there and also attended 3 of their sewing course and it has given me the best new hobby and passion. I've now made 4 dresses and I'm so chuffed. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. It is a hard recommend from me!

We (Ordsall Hall) hired Stitched Up to deliver a series of workshops for our visitors, aimed at teaching recycling initiatives, sewing skills and upcycling projects. Sarah from Stitched Up was an absolute joy to work with - communication from the initial proposal all the way through to the sessions themselves was incredible. She was so organized and professional, but more importantly FUN to collaborate with! The visitors absolutely loved the workshops as well. The tasks were very engaging and tailored to suit a range of skill levels, and the atmosphere was so welcoming. Cannot recommend Stitched Up enough to other venues and makers!
